April Mummies 2011

Oh gosh just noticed the date - RIP to all those who lost their lives, 10 years ago to the day. Terrible! I remember being in college when this happened, couldn't understand what was happening when the news first broke. My thoughts are with those who lost loved ones xx

it actually hasn't "occured" yet over here as is still sept 10. however in 11 hours the entire nation will be taking a moment of silence. wish i had a way to fly a flag tomorrow, burning a memory candle will have to do.
i, however have a much happier memory of tomorrow as that's the 6 yr anniversary of dh and i being official (bf/gf whatever you wanna call it).

Hi :hi:

Congratulations to all those with weight loss!! From personal experience i know its not easy to do!! to you!

All the talk about about stew/soups make me hungry!! :haha: They all sound delicious!

:hugs: to those who need them!!

I cant believe my little girl is 5 months old today!!!! It seems like they grow up over night!!:sad2:
Sorry i didn't have time to properly catch up...its been a crazy week and weekend so far! Hope everyone has a great upcoming week and im gonna try to get back on here more!

Iv'e ordered my t3 jogger!! sooooooo excited ill actually be able to go out on my own.
Twins are 6 months tomorrow too! xx

alex is absolutely fine today :), survived he bump without a scratch thankfully! now being super super careful!

can't believe our babies are all getting so old!

Emmy's happy 5 months to ava!

tasha happy 6 months to harley and ruby!

2 more days and alex is 5 months, wow!

Happy 5 mos Ava, Lizzie, Rosie, Alex and 6 mos Ruby and Harley!!

Congrats on the new pram Tasha, hope it gets here soon.

We gave Lizzie a sippy cup with water last night and she loved it!! Definitely will be giving her one each day. Only put a little bit of water but she just loved being grown up and getting to hold a cup like Mom and Dad. So adorable how happy it made her!

DH has had her in the backpack carrier all morning/afternoon as we work to clean the garage out for our BBQ next week. His back has to be hurting him but she's so happy in there. Making cooing noises the entire time (and napping briefly).

caro- i never realized alex and abby have the same birthday! yay for the first bday being friday the 13th :haha:

Sam - Glad to hear you're getting on well :) Have a nice time in OR x

Crazy - Aww hope Georges exma (yeah I cant spell that and cant be bothered going to see the spelling :P) clears up soon but its good that its not bothering him much! x

Caro - Oh dear! Hope hes ok. Accidents happen though so dont beat yourself up about it, as long as hes ok thats all that matters! :) x

Lilly - Yay for Aleena rolling! :D

Jakes - Sounds like Amelia enjoyed her banana haha!
And lol, we must have quite an age gap! I was only 9 when it happened... so still in primary school!
But still, RIP to all those poor victims of that horrible day :/ x

Emmys - Yay for Ava being 5 months!

Tasha - Omg half a year already! How fast has that gone!

This is gonna sound odd but the past few days, since my op, I keep bleeding on and off but yesterday some big blob thing fell out of me... It was kinda like the "plug" when youre expecting to go into labour if any of you remember that gross thing!
Do you think maybe they poked me in the ovaries or something while they where there?
Very odd haha.

Im missing holding my baby. I cant pick him up by myself still atm or it reeeaally hurts. I can only have him passed to me which sucks and he cant snuggle in properly :( This cut needs to hurry up and heal! Its been a week since the op tomorrow.

Ollies doing well though. Going mad with his teeth but hes all good besides that! He can sit totally unaided for long amounts of time too now. Just make sure theres always someone/something soft close by to catch him if he has a little wobble! :)

I am not impressed with my little monster today. He decided he was going to wake up at 4 this morning & not go back to sleep til 5.15. Why, I have no idea! My alarm goes off at 6.15 so I can have a shower & get ready before DH goes out to work. So by the time I was drifting back off again, it was time to get up. Soooo tired! DH was the doing the night shift over the weekend & he didn't wake up til 6 either day. Typical! I swear he knows when his dad will be getting up & is all well behaved for him!

Think I'm gonna buy a lightweight stroller today, only 12.5 lbs, much better than my Graco which is 19.5 lbs LOL.

Stacey, have you seen the new BG's Freetime, flip trainers, colors and prints? Swaddlebees also announced their new prints! I have to find a way to need more diapers :haha: Might have to wait until Isis is potty training. Then we'll need trainers!

I'm bringing in one of my cloth diapers to Isis' school to break the ice about using cloth with her. My plan is to let the teacher see them and maybe we can talk about at least trying part-time with the cloth to see how it works. They go on just like disposables but might need to be changed more often. That's my only concern.

Naima, Cute stroller! We only bought the lightweight stroller but have only used it once. I mostly wear Isis.

Gem, I hope your incision heals soon! How are you feeling otherwise? Does it feel like this fixed it?

Tasha, glad you were able to order your stroller! Happier time walking to school for you!

I only wear Aleena when it's not so hot outside.
It's still around 90 here and sunny everyday..

I forgot you guys are so hot! We've been getting some nice fall weather around here.

caro- i never realized alex and abby have the same birthday! yay for the first bday being friday the 13th :haha:

haha, i didn't realise either! I know, I even joked when I went over due that I'll probably end up giving birth on the 13th just so his 1st b'day will be a friday...hmmm, must have jinxed it! lol. 5 mins more and he'd have been the 14th :dohh:

Naima at some point i'll get a lightweight stroller too, much easier than the big old pushchair and i'll actually be able to get some stuff in my boot other than pushchair :haha:

Gem, glad you're healing! fx'ed you can pick ollie up again soon. Do you reckon it's stopped all the sickness etc? hope so!

I have a silver cross linear which I had with Jake. Fantastic, comfy, parent facing but can turn forward BUT it is so huge and heavy!!! Needless to say, I am selling it! Since she was 2 weeks old, I've used the maclarent techno xt. Again had it since Jake was 6 months old. I love it! Lightweight, height adjustable handles, and lays flat too! I may get the double version as Jake still throws fits when walking places. I do have a buggy board but my feet kick it, as I have huge feet lol!
Pretty gutted I haven't used the Moby much as it has been so warm. Should've invested in a summer one off that wrap woman online. Never mind!

Can't believe the eldest babies are reaching 6 months!!!! Where on earth has the time gone?!?

Hope all is well x

IV got my baby trend jogged. Thought about getting an umbrella stroller but I've got the jigger which is big and I've got a frame that my car seat clips into that is small.

I've got Rosie enjoying herself in the pack and play at the moment. Rolling back and forth and kicking her legs having such a good time. I'm very hungry though. Hopefully there is food in my future. And coffee.

So Rosie has decided that 6:30 is the new time to get up for the day. Humph! I try to keep quiet and show her its still sleepy time but she stays up for an hour or so before going back to sleep. And I've been going back to sleep with her instead of enjoying the time that used to be "me time"

missfox i have the same problem with alex, always have had, wakes anywhere from about 5-6.30 ans decides its morning, needs his two hour 'up' time then will go back down for an hour or two :dohh:. At least I get 'me time' in the evenings these days!

Gem hope you can get back to giving ollie big hugs soon without it hurting you.

How do you ladies cope when your lo's are getting up around 5 or 6am, it still seems like the middle of the night at that time. George has days where he will wake up between 5 and 6 but luckily he goes back to sleep within half an hour. He just babbles to himself and then falls asleep.

My poor boy was struggling to sleep last night though because of the eczema on the back of his head, he kept trying to scratch it and kept crying in the night. He wouldnt go back to sleep unless we cuddled him to sleep. So i took him to the doctors today and the doctor gave me some stronger cream (steroid cream) hoping it helps my little man as hate seeing him in pain and irritable :(

aww poor little guy, not a nice place to be itchy! hope it does the trick xx
