Hi ladies sorry its been so long! big hugs to those who need them.

Seems crazy some of you are already thinking about weaning, George is only 10 weeks old!

I hae attached (I think, you know how rubbish I am at that) some photos we had done professionally the other day, sorry there are so many, can you tall I am a rpoud mummy?!!!

George has not been doing well at gaining weight...he was big to start with and was on the 91st centile but now he is on the 25th, the GP thinks this is becuase of reflux as he is very sick after each feed so now we have gaviscon to go in his bottles to try and get him to keep food down. Fxd this works as the other potential diagnosis is pyloric stenosis which I dont know much about but I think it means an operation which would just be horrible.

I hope I will be able to get on here more often again, I miss you ladies!

Thought I'd throw my five cents in about weaning, I've been told they're ready when they can sit unsupported and have good hand to eye co-ordination, which makes sense if you're doing BLW.

Thanks to everyone for their comments on weaning. Can I just say that by 'early weaning' I meant somewhere between 4 & 6 months. Early as in before 6 months. Can't remember who said it (& on my phone so can't look back & check whilst replying) but the WHO do say BY 6 months, not AT 6 months. Was reading up the other day!

You could also use a bouncy/vibrating chair. That's what my SIL did. She started giving him rice cereal in his bottles at 1 month but spoon fed at 4 months.
I might have to look for a bumbo on craigslist. They have one at Isis' daycare and they put her in it sometimes.
Jen, what a cute little guy! Sorry you've had to deal with reflux. It must be awful to have your little one so sick.

Im thinking of weaning early too. I have actually been advised to by both the HV and the DR. The babies are 18 weeks tomorrow and Ruby rarely goes 2 hours between bottles except in the night. She has now started waking in the night too and i just dont think shes satisfied. Harley on the other hand has never been very good at taking his milk and just seems to be feeding a few oz all the time. Hes also on soy milk. The dr seems to think both babies will be better with a bit of babyrice or something similar. So i think im going to try in the next few weeks. I thought about mentioning it before but i know its a sensitive subject lol. All babies are different and some need early weaning, some dont xx

Lil guy has Eliza's old bumbo in a very becoming shade of pink. Gabe doesn't mind.... says that he is very comfortable with his sexuality

You all know that I have been having a pretty bad time with my inlaws, well it has reached an all time low. SIL wrote us an email after we confronted her and her Husband for telling some terrible lies about us. Apparently the only reason we had Gabe was to spite her. I really don't think I can come back from a comment like that, as far as I am concerned these people no longer exist for me or the kids. Poison.

I'm not the type of person who can sit and smile at someone whilst seething inside, I just can't do it. So being in any of their company will not be happening or the floodgates will open and everything will be laid bare.

I mean, who would try to put such negativity on a newborn baby? That woman has serious issues and needs to deal with her bitterness and jealousy, but we wont be partaking in her twisted little web of lies and manipulation any further.

Add this to poor OH who looked like he was recovering from his vasectomy and is now asleep in bed after getting such bad stabbing pains that he had to lie down. We are taking care of 4 small people, OH works so bloody hard for us, we are renovating the house, I'm trying to restart the business and all these loathsome shits can do is cause trouble.

Blurgh, sorry ladies, rant over.

On the plus side, Gabe is an absolute love, Eliza wont answer to anything but Princess Eliza and I have ordered her a tiara from Ebay Willow is the most gorgeous annoying bag of annoyance ever to walk the face of God's green earth and Charly has her Prom tonight and sang so beautifully in her leavers assembly at school that I cried. Counting my blessings may help me be calm. Thankyou for your support, ladies. I hope you are all well
