April Mummies 2011

Oh Amethyst, that's terrible! I'd cut them all off too! No point in making yourself miserable worrying about it. Those people aren't worth your time or effort. :hugs:

Aww Amethyst! :hugs:

Well I'm heading back home today. Wont get home until tomorrow though. I'm gonna miss it here and miss a good bunch of my family. I'm bummed I'm missing Rilyn's services but I'm so happy to be heading home. DH called last night said he was cleaning again and setting up the crib. I'm excited to see him again.

WOW! HUGE THUNDER! JUST NOW! It lasted for almost a minute too. Hope the flight doesn't get delayed. yeesh

Jen - George is gorgeous :) Hope he starts to gain more weight soon and that the Gaviscon works! Ollie is on Gaviscon and Ranitidine for reflux.

Amethyst - Frig the lot of them then! Big hugs for youuu :)

MissFox - Have a safe journey home :)

Out of curiosity, what medication are all of your LOs on, if any?
I feel like Ollie is on alot :/
He has:-
Gaviscon with every bottle, Ranitidine every other bottle.
Sytron and Dalivit each once a day.
Folic Acid once a week.

Is that a lot for a little baby?

Its not a lot if he needs it all!
Toby was on gaviscon every bottle but we've stopped it and changed him to SMA staydown milk because its heavier than SMA Gold with gaviscon and stays down better. And he's more comfortable with it and drinks more of it. He'll finish 6oz bottles of staydown milk but only take 3-5oz of sma gold with gaviscon.

On the weaning thing... Toby is 4 months old next week. OH is *desperate* to start feeding him. But I don't think Toby wants it yet so I'm standing my ground. I mean, he watches us eat but it's because he's a curious boy, not because he's hungry. He goes 4hrs between bottles and doesn't get hungry between them. That and the fact that he's still suffering from reflux with regular formula makes me think he doesn't need it and his stomach isn't ready.

For teething, I might give him some cold carrot to chew on, to get him used to flavours without actually eating/digesting anything. But not yet. Maybe in a few weeks. Then we'll wait and see. When he's ready to eat, he'll let us know.

Great and now we have problems with the Ex's Fiancee. My eldest feels so intimidated by this woman (who professes quite openly to not liking children), her temper tantrums and overboard reactions that she doesn't want to go to see her Dad anymore. What a fecking witch and my poor girl :growlmad::cry:

OH has been to the hospital this morning, he is in such pain because he has had a rupture from the vasectomy operation.

Great week we are having.

This morning Isis rolled from her back to tummy while on our bed. I know it's a soft surface so it's probably easier but it's still cool! I can't believe how quickly she's growing up!

That's awesome! Go Isis!!!

Anberlin did that at about a week old, and then rolled, albeit accidentally, from back to tummy at 7 weeks, but nothing since. She's getting close though.

I wish time would slow down. My niece just had a baby boy on Tuesday and he's so tiny compared to Anberlin, even though they're only 11 weeks apart. My uterus aches for #4

for any of you ladies who are needing to know how to get formula stains out of your baby's clothes, put some cascade dishwasher detergent in along with her soap. works awesome!!

I haven't been on in a couple of days so im trying to catch up!

Sorry your having a rough week Amethyst. I hope it gets better soon! :hugs:

Yay Isis!! Ava had rolled over on our bed a couple times and its so exciting!! She loves it when i clap for her too! :haha:

Thanks for the info about Cascade Dana!! I will definitely try that!

DH's uncle was laid to rest yesterday and the service was beautiful! I think i cried through the whole thing, especially when they had a slide show of family photos with him and his wife and kids...It made me think of my girls and dh:cry:

On a brighter note, Ava almost laughed yesterday! My oldest was acting silly and playing with her and she loved it! She would get SO excited and i was just waiting for a laugh and then she would just squeal!!!:haha: So im still waiting:coffee: It wont be long now!

Sorry about your DH's uncle :( :hugs:

Anyone know how to help my husband stop snoring?? Soooooo annoying. My DD is finally sleeping better and I still get no sleep unless he sleeps on the couch.
Wish there was something that helped..!!!

Anyone elses LOs like watching TV?
I didnt really want him to watch tele but when hes in hospital they put it in front of him 24/7 so now hes like a little tele addict! :|
And he gets grumpy if you stand in the way haha!

His first tooth is starting to come through! :D Hes been screaming like mad with it so plenty of cuddles and teething gel and teething rings for him but not much helps!
I cant wait for it to be fully grown! Hell have an even cheekier little smile! :D

2 new pics attached :) Ignore my messy head... had a cba day :P

Ollie is so cute!! Isis loves the TV too. I think its all the bright colors and things moving. I took some pictures of her in her excersaucer and she was craning her neck around so she could see the TV. I hope his tooth comes out soon!

Naima, I wish I had an answer for you. My DH snores more when he's on his back so when he's snoring I turn into a recovery position. This link basically shows how https://www.netplaces.com/first-aid/emergency-response/recovery-position.htm I'm not as careful though because I know he doesn't have a spinal injury and I don't feel bad if I wake him because he's obviously waking me!

Today I switched to cloth wipes. I made about 40 of them while pregnant but I kept forgetting to make the solution for them. I'm mostly using them because its a pain to have to remember to throw them away instead of throwing them in with the cloth diapers.

Rex loves the tele too! Had to keep him occupied on Friday whilst I unpacked our food shopping delivery so put him in his bouncy chair facing the tele & he was happy as anything. I put it on BabyTV for him. It's def the colours & moving things he loves & they have really bright things on with a lot of music just for babies.

my LO seemed to enjoy the grand prix today :( she isn't my baby :( (her daddy loved it though!)

well pickle seems to be being sick loads again :( it's such a drag :( it's now a mix of milk and spit and it's horrible :( I'm so tired of it

Hey ladies sorry some of you are having a tough time.
Gertrude have you been to the doctor about the sickness? George is on Gaviscon for it becuase he stopped gaining weight, so far it seems to be really helping.
I left him all day yesterday and went and bought some nice clothes that fit me!
