April Mummies 2011

hope your coworker pulls through cheese lover

i would have to agree with cheese. i cried the first day i went back to work, but now it's just a part of the daily routine and i like feeling usefull beyond being a mom.
i do however feel a little more distant from her but i do that to everyone so i'm sure it's nothing you'll experience.

PLUS, the hard days i just keep telling myself the more i work the more i can spoil her :haha:

Lily- I wouldn't mind another on if I didn't have an emcs (and want a vbac) and if DH and I were getting along and if I had better income and DH any at all. Hopefully things get sorted lol because I don't gang a huge age gap

Yes it does!!! Rosie usually sleeps great but was up til 1:30 the other morning and back up at 7:0. She's been hardly napping during the day unless I lay down with her and let her go at the boob unlimited. Wasn't fun with her like that at work with me! I figured it was about to hit bc she was doing 8-10hr stretches then eating and back down for another 4 hrs... not so much anymore

So cute Dana and Lily :)

Hi Meg, welcome to the thread.

Cheese hope your co-worker will be ok x

Well we're off on a plane today, George's first holiday abroad and he is only 3 months old lol. We're going with my mum to her house for 3 weeks so it's like home from home and has everything we need there. Then my OH will be coming half was way through and staying for a week. So excited :happydance:
Will still have internet there though but don't plan on going online much, just want to relax :)

I think we're starting the 4 month regression too :( woke at 3 the last 2 nights for a feed just as we'd started STTN :( also wont nap unless we make her (currently typing 1 handed as she's napping on me!)

urgh

im stressed out at the mo Jaimee starts school in september so im going to need to get a triple buggy to do the school runs. i cant afford one and they wont fit in the shops. i need to pass my driving test but cant afford it :-(
sorry rant over
xxx

Aleena was also finally sleeping 5+ hour stretches. Then BOOM, 2-3 hours , not even to eat, she stirs and cries and I'll pick her up and she will fall back asleep. Then she will also wake to eat in between and barely nap during the day, I'm exhausted.
She was up till 1am yesterday with only 1 good nap all day, and up at 3,6, and she just woke to eat at like 7.15.
Then we have a shit load of MIL drama going on, she called my husband telling him he doesn't love his stepdad (he has cancer), cause my husband can't come over a lot cause he works 60+ hours a week, and they live an hour drive away, and she said that it was all my fault cause my intententions were to take him away from his family, LOL!
She is such a psycho, everytime she tries to manipulate and start drama to make everything about her. My pregnancy, after Aleena was born, now this.
Then I'm also dealing with Aleena's food allergies (dairy mostly and wheat or soy), so I can't eat 96% of the things I want.
Grrr a lot going on .. I'll b ok !

:hugs: Tasha and Lilly.

Tasha - could you carry one baby in a sling for now? I don't like them myself but I know lots of people do. Might solve the tripple buggy issue, at least for now?

Took DD to be weighed this morning. She's up to 14lb 2 - staying on the 50th percentile nicely. I did get the hump though. There were two HVs in there and I was with one. A dad came in with his baby and went to the other one. The one I was with immediatley stopped talking to me and started chatting to him. From the conversation I understood the baby's mum had died a few months ago. Terrible, I know - and it is awful for them. But does that mean she was right not to finish with me first? I had questions but felt I couldn't ask as she had walked away and turned her back.

I don't think I'll go back there. I can walk to it which is nice, but I just felt they weren't interested. Also, I only got to ask one question, which I got in while she was being weighed.

Oh Tasha, that's awful! Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious or being daft, but I assume that you have checked Ebay and stuff? Do you have neighbours with kids at the same school? Have you had lessons already or are you just waiting to do your test?

Lilly - We are in the same boat with our horrific inlaws, so you know that you have my complete empathy and sympathy. What does your DH have to say about it all? As for Aleena's allergies, yuck poor things. My Niece was similar and grew out of it all, so fingers crossed for you, Hun :hugs:

Mrs-C - I'd be miffed too, if I'm honest. Hope there is somewhere else local that you are happy with :flower:

Thanks. I think it was the fact she didn't even check if I had any other questions or concerns, just started to talking to him. Left me feeling awkward and in the way while I dressed LO and walked out.

I havent been on in a few days!
Sick as anything again.
Plus been to wales on Sunday to see family.
Ollies first big trip! :)

Ill have to catch up properly some other time. I need a nap to try and ease this pain! Painkillers arent even touching it.

Yeah checked ebay and gumtree etc. I use a sling at the mo but its given me a bad back so i tend not to go out on my own anymore, its a nightmare! No one near has children at that school either :-s I took a test when i was pregnant with Demi but failed. My dad bought us a car as a wedding present and im insured on it so stu has been giving me lessons once a week but cant afford any proper ones xx

Tasha, have you tried a wrap? I love mine and it was only around $40. I think it would even out the pressure a little. Driving really does take practice. I hope you can pass your test!

Gem, I hope you start feeling better. Do they have any idea what's causing the pain?

Mrs-C, I wouldn't go back either. I can't believe she just left you hanging like that.

I don't know what's going on with Isis. She's been sleeping terribly but last night she was a little angel. It would be nice if she would stay on a routine at night. She's been up so much at night lately that last night I got engorged because she slept until 2:30! I offered her both breasts so I wouldn't be lopsided!
No word on my coworker but he's in a medically induced coma until the brain swelling goes down so we won't know anything for a while. It's tough because he's in ICU so we can't send anything to the hospital.
