April Mummies 2011

Huggies and Pampers are the popular brands here and most seem to prefer Pampers Sensitive wipes. We use Pampers diapers for Lizzie. Find a Walmart as they are everywhere and have good prices.

A question for the American ladies. I am going to Florida next month and planning on buying my nappies and wipes whilst out there. What brands do u recommend ?!? X

They sell Pampers, Huggies and Luvs at about any store. I use Luvs on Ava b/c they are cheaper. As far as wipes, i usually use Huggies/Pampers :)

What part of Florida are going to?

Huggies and pampers are the most popular brands here too.
Hope she has a speedy recovery Amethyst, mine had it one by one but Ruby managed to escape xx

Loopy, Matilda is absolutely gorgeous and with that oh so cute expression :haha:

Tasha, I knew someone had mentioned a LO having it and couldn't remember who it was :dohh: Was Harley OK with it?

It didnt really seem to bother him to be honest, didnt even have a temperature, loads of spots though and they have scarred his face.

Whgich other parts of the formum do you ladies use? I only really go on here and girly sanctuary and occasionally have a look in buy swap and sell.

xx

Thanks for the advice on his temp ladies!
He was bad through the night and kept me up ALL night for like the first time ever.
And I had to be up and out by 8am so Im cream crackered xD
As soon as my head hit the pillow this morning my alarm went off :|
But yeah, he seems ok atm just very sleepy (no wonder though after last night)

He doesnt seem to be pooping. He hasnt been in 2 days and was straining before but still had a clean nappy :/ poor little man. Gave him plenty of water but not helped yet.

Ive been the docs myself this morning. My stomach is Big-C free but I have a bad case of helicobacter pylori (still... after 3 lots of treatment) and the lining of my stomach is very inflamed. :/ Sooo may have to have another endocscopy after the treatmeant to make sure its gone!
He also spotted a mole on my back and said it was a melignant melanoma or something. Hes told me to keep an eye on it an if it changes at all to go straight back :S no idea what thats all about but ah well. I cant see it if its on my back!

You all have such beautiful little babies ^_^
Amethyst - hope the pox clear up soon! x

We had a rough night here too. Isis wouldn't go down was very fussy and finally went to sleep at 9! I think it was because of gas since I could hear gurgling in her stomach. Then she woke up at 2, 4, 4:45 and then I brought her to bed with me. I'm exhausted today. If she was like that last night what's tonight going to be like after her shots today! Ugh!

Gem, if the Dr. says that the mole on your back is melanoma I would have it looked at right away! My aunt had melanoma and they had to remove a golf ball size chunk of her shoulder to get all of the cancer cells out. She had to have skin grafts from her upper thigh to cover it. Hopefully the treatment works this time for your stomach!

RiRi, I use pampers or huggies, whatever I have coupons for. Both work fine.

What gorgeous babies everyone! Love the surprised looks!

Ok my turn!
In the turtle sleeper my cousin gave us, in her new booster seat, being a cheese ball slouching in her chair like her Daddy.

Forgot to add, I think I have another plugged duct but its really close to my areola. My breast is red in that area and painful. I'm going to pick up a heating pad after Isis' appt.

All of these babies are so freaking cute! Thanks for posting!
Hope the chicken pox pass quickly.
I go on baby club Tasha.
I prefer Huggies. I also have their wipes bc I can buy them in hulk and I like free and clear stuff. I shop at Costco and get Kirkland brand diapers too but they're basically huggies.
I had some crazy dreams last night and didn't get enough sleep. Or enough milk pumping this morning. I have to work a few hours today but then I'm bringing Rosie to the county fair. I'm excites! She gets to see all the animals and idk if she can ride any rides.

All the babies are adorable and already showing their personalities

Hope the chicken pox clear up soon and don't make her uncomfy.

Gem, great news on the lab results but please do have that mole biopsed. By the time it changes shape or color it may require a much larger area of skin to be removed. I had one removed from my back and biopsy showed suspicious cells on edges so they went back and cut out more until it was clear. Easy procedure but definitely one you do not want to put off.

Hey I live in FL, where are you going?
We use pampers swaddlers sensitive, and pampers sensitive wipes. My DD has never had a diaper rash before

have fun!

Thanks dreading the flight but can't wait! Ha

we used to use huggies but poor girl got diaper rash so bad her lady bits were bleeding! switched to pampers swaddlers and not one problem since (we switched at her 1 week).

Isis had her 4 month check up. She's following her percentiles perfectly. 50% for weight (13lbs 14oz), 75-85% for height (around 25 inches) and 75% for head circ (41 cm). She was so upset after her shots but a little boobie juice and she was all better.
I don't know what to think about her. She went to bed at 6:30 tonight. She didn't nurse to sleep. She unlatched while awake and sucked on her fingers and fell asleep. I put her to bed in her clothes from today and she's cried out twice and self-settled both times. I couldn't even get to her room in time to soothe her, she was already back asleep. Last night I couldn't get her to settle to save my life but tonight she self-settles perfectly.

I'm dreading my flight to Oregon, I can't even imagine going overseas with her.

i'm only half kidding with this but i know lots of mom's who give a dose of tylenol so they sleep the whole flight.
