April Mummies 2011

:hugs::hugs::hugs: Dana! I went shopping on a good day and bought 2 pairs of jeans that fit and now I ignore the number on the label. From that point on I have only bought myself shirts and clothes for Isis! I'm going to have to buy dress pants at some point for meetings but I'll do it when I have to.

I definitely think I've changed shape as well as gained weight. I edited this post because I reread what I wrote before and it sounded pretty insensitive. Basically, I need to lose some weight before I'll really know how much is shape and how much is excess weight.

On a positive note, Isis went to bed like a good girl tonight! She also napped better today even if each nap was on me. I'm hoping it's a move in the right direction. Friday she only napped 45 minutes all day!

I bought some baby alpaca yarn while on vacation a couple weeks ago. I'm making an ear flap hat for Isis. https://www.garnstudio.com/drops/mag/b20/19/19-2.jpg in purple with black trim. I was trying it on her earlier and she is so cute in it! I'll post a picture when I'm done. Then I'm going to make this sweater in gray with black trim: https://www.garnstudio.com/drops/mag/b20/17/17-2.jpg

I also bought some more cloth diapers  but in my defense we really are low on diapers now that she's in cloth full time. I had a hard time piecing together cloth for today and I'm sure tomorrow will be no better. I'd like to space out laundry a little.

Have a good night everyone!

I think Ollie needs to do some major growing lol :S
Hes 5 months + and is still only in 0-3 month clothes and even some of them are too long on him! 3-6 months would just hang off him right now!
Need to get him weighed this week!
Its his christening next month and I got him a 6-9 month suit thinking oh hell be 6 almost 7 months so should fit but now Im not too sure it will :|

Is anyone elses baby still not interested in being on thier tummies?
Ollie still hates it :/ No chance of him ever crawling at this rate!
Instead he lies on his back, digs his heels into the floor and skoots backwards across the floor! Like a backwards crawl :s
And instead of saying mamama or bababa or anything like that, like babies are supposed to have as first words, he just says iya!

Matilda is still in 0-3 clothes, she even still fits in a couple of newborn outfits! Although she's been in her 3-6 sleepsuits for ages and I think she will be out of them at 6 months, it's bizarre.

wish my LO still fitted his smaller clothes! some he never even wore cos the weather wasn't right to wear them and by the time it was warmer/cooler he'd grown out of them :S

so ladies with babies with teeth, did they get 'teething poo'? alex has started pooing 3-4 times a day again and apart from the first poop of the day which is normal the others are really runny with little bits inside them? almost bubbly at times?

wondering if its a sign a tooth is coming, or whether i need to get him checked out? or whether i need to see whether he's eating something thats not agreeing with him? hmmm

Rosie had a poo like that... her tooth is officially through. I love her tooth hehe

Gem, Rex is still not a fan of tummy time. Although this week he has happily been on hid tummy for a good 5 or 10 mins a couple of times so I think he might be starting to show an interest! He wriggles his legs like he wants to move! It's like he's been putting all his effort into mastering sitting up so hasn't been able to think about crawling! Think he'll be a bottom shuffler!

Amelia loves her belly but she sleeps on it so that's probably why!

She's been fighting a fever this weekend so isn't too great. She had me up from 1.30/6.00am last night then my son was up shortly after. Zombie!

I'm nursing her in bed right now but she's having none of it! Screaming And shrieking (not bad, just excited?!). GO TO SLEEP!

caro george has 2 teeth and didnt have funny poo with them

gem george hates being on his tummy but has just learnt to roll from back to front which he repeatedly does and every time he gets to his front he starts crying!!

Cheese the hat and sweater are so cute. Glad Isis went to bed like a good girl.

Gem George also doesnt like being on his tummy much. He shows no signs of crawling at all.

Hope Amelia is better soon Jakes. Hope you have a better sleep tonight, nights like those are awful.

Hey ladies hope your well. Just got back from florida had an amazing time. Poppy was brilliant both on the flight and coped really well with time difference and the heat! First day she cut her first tooth and third day she cut her second bless her. Will post a few pics once I've uploaded them

Glad to hear you all had a great time, ri! Looking forward to seeing the pics!

decided that i'm going to do cereal in the morning, salad for luch (lettuce, tomato, carrots, cucumber, egg and ham) and then dinner.

this is modified from my brilliant idea to eat nothing but cereal for every meal but dinner, lol.

will it work? who knows. :haha:

Dana they do the special k diet here, which is 2 bowls of their cereal plus main meal a day - I have never done it but your plan sounds the same! So should work, in hindsight! Think I may join you :haha:

i tried just having cereal today and i couldn't do it, i needed more. in WW all veggies are free so i'm thinking my salad idea should work! i should be able to eat a big one without many calories so i can eat those calories at night during dinner.

Dana, I would eat some protein in the morning like a hard boiled egg or yogurt. That'll help hold you until lunch. The salad looks good! I was able to maintain a good weight loss by eating a salad and yogurt every day for lunch. I know the number looks scary but I know that ticker will start to move! I need to weigh myself again. I haven't been tracking very well!

Ri, glad Poppy was so good on the flights! This is a great age to take on a plane!

Isis loves being on her tummy! She also sleeps on her tummy. She keeps pushing herself up and tries to get up on all fours.

I'm a zombie today! Isis was up every 2-3 hours from 8-6. I'd look into sleep training but she's hungry every time. She woke at 9pm and I was able to rock her back to sleep then. I might have to close my office door and take a nap! Maybe during one of my pumping sessions. I bought a rail for the bed so I can feel better when I bring her to bed with me. Last night I brought her in at 3am.

Wednesday I go in for the blood test to become a milk donor. I'm excited and DH is excited to get more space in our freezer. :haha:

I think I might be taking Isis to Hawaii this winter. DH might have to go there for work so I might come out at the end of his work trip. We have friends on Oahu so we could stay there. I might be going for work too in the spring so that would be the only reason Isis and I wouldn't meet DH there. It's a long flight to be doing it twice in a few months. It would be fun though.

what a stressful day! been to GP with Alex tonight, he;s been really struggling to breath whenever I put him on his back :(, turns out he's ok, all to do with not realising he can breath through his mouth instead of his nose cos its a bit blocked but he panics then sounds horrible and gets quite distressed, main thing is atm his chest sounds clear.

also asked about the dodgy poos and he's had diarrhoea a lot lately, dr thinks he's got a viral infection atm and it'll clear by itself :(, so hopeflly we're on the back end of it! just horrible to see him suffering and his poor bottom is really red, despite using cream, its just he;s pooing so often :(

oh and i'm getting a cold too, not a happy camper here today lol!

:hugs: caro and Gertrude x x

Poor Alex, its horrible seeing them distressed. That would have frightened me.

I took George to baby massage today. He seemed to really enjoy it. I think he liked being around other babies and it was so cute massaging his chubby little body :)

Caro - hope youre both feeling better soon x

Gertrude - hope youre ok x

Glad to hear ollies not the only one uninterested in being on his front! :)

Ah Im losing too much weight :S Its just dropping off me and now Im back down to lower than I was before pregnancy (and I was quite thin anyway :/)
I dont know why either though because Ive stopped being sick and Im eating loads. I just keep losing weight D:
Is there anything thats like the opposite to weight watchers where it helps you gain weight instead of losing? :S
