***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

6 weeks to go today and been getting braxton hicks all weekend and later part of last week... now they're loads stronger and more regular. anyone else getting braxton hicks?

starting to worry a little that maybe it's not just practice contractions any more!!!

Mine have been painful at times. I actually thought the other night that I was in labor. I wish that were the case but the baby is still in there. I don't remember having them this strong the last three times.

My braxton hicks have become painful at times too over the last week but they do come and go. On Saturday night I got a really painful one and screamed out loud which made my sister laugh!

I'm due 5th april only 3 weeks to go, keep getting twinges and pains and get exited each time thinking I'm finally going to meet my baby, getting fed up now.

I was gonna say maybe it's to do with being so close cos I have this too, regular strong ones, BUT nothing has happened yet so it would seem it is all in aid of 'practicing.'

I would just say if they stay regular overnight and get worse than go in. Ut I think it's mind boggling how fooling these braxton's can be.

How can I be this fed up with 6 weeks to go?! As if the SPD pain wasn't enough there is the enormous pressure on my pubis, the backache and now the painful BHs. I just had a really painful one that caused my DH to come in from loading the washing machine next door to check up on me!

I think the popular consensus is the April Sweet Peas are getting to be over being pregnant! I have to join in this as well! haha

I'm afraid I was fed up by 20 weeks, I'm coping better now than I have been at any point and think it's cos I know the end is in sight!

I have days where I'm fed up but for the most part I'm doing okay... so far. ;) I had an ultrasound today, because the Dr. was a little concerned that the baby was a little small. He just wanted to double check that she is just a small baby, but not too small in a bad way. And she was perfectly fine, thankfully!! She is about 5 pounds right now.

gosh april is a busy month...i was saying to the mw in the hospital the other day and she said from now until may is non stop for them lol people must be getting more frisky in the summer time probably cause youve already shaved your legs LOL xx

We have another birth! Shocklee16- ethan born 12/3/2010

she's not on the list in this thread tho I dnt think

Well the BH's calmed down enough last night for me to get some sleep, but are back again this morning :(

Packed baby's hospital bag last night (just need to put her clothes in it) and intend to get mine sorted today/tomorrow just in case I need it sooner than expected.

Midwife has told me to take it easy (yeah right, I have a 15 month old to run around after!!) and to just keep an eye on things...

Will have to see how things go.

Hope everyone else is doing OK today xx

ooo Kimmy its a bit exciting but scary aswell eh! my tightenings seem to have stopped today so far anyways i guess it is only 10:40 baby has been mega active tho so im thinking he's streched whatever he needed to i really cant wait to meet my baby but when i actually thought i was in labour i was scared it was too soon.

congrats to shocklee16 and baby ethan! xxx

offt just as im braggin they have stopped i get one! LOL crazy! ive got the mw today at 2 her head will be frazzeled with me by the time this pregnancy is over xx

I've decided to see how the morning goes and then give the MW a call to see if she has room to see me tomorrow afternoon at the surgery.

It's really exciting, but then I have moments of sheer panic when I think it's way too early for baby to be born. Only 6 weeks to go though, so I guess it could be any time now!!

I'm off to sort out more baby clothes to take my mind off it :) xx

PS- Let us know how you get pon with the MW x

Congrats to shocklee16 :)
