Are pregnant women entitled to special treatment?

I don't have the same experience. I find the majority of people here are very well-mannered when it comes to holding doors open. Just today, several people went out of their way to help me with doors when I was struggling with the door and stroller. Maybe it's different in Canada? :)

The only time I've got public transport in a position that I would need some kind of help is when I was travelling on several trains one day with LO in the pushchair and I was actually really surprised how helpful people were, I had young men, older men and women and even a woman carrying a small baby help me on and off the train with the pushchair. I wasn't entitled to it but those 5 seconds out of their day helped me so much.
