Just got mine. There use to be concern about stage of pregnancy, but flu shot is now considered safe and effective for all stages of pregnancy.
Yes it is. I refer to the nurse that I talked to and other sources such as:
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/vaccine/qa_vacpregnant.htm
https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-...by-week/expert-answers/influenza/faq-20058522
https://www.medicinenet.com/pregnancy_flu_shot_side_effects_and_safety/article.htm
Also the information package I got along with my shot today also states it's safe for pregnant women. I had the flu shot with my older children as well.
Nothing is "tested" on pregnant women. That is illegal. Not to mention even if it wasn't I don't think you'd find a pregnant woman willing to volunteer. The testing is done on animals, and then safety is viewed through statistics. This is not a new shot. In fact if you do some research you'll see the shot is deemed safe, but right now the nasal spray is not recommended.
Why can't you tell me which version of the vaccine you received? I don't care what others decide for themselves but I don't like the misinformation.Well you do what you feel is best for you and I'll do what I feel is best for me. There is no proof of the flu shot being dangerous for pregnant women or baby. It's been tested on plenty of animals as is standard. With no negative side effects. I'm not here to have a debate. Anti vaccine pro vaccine whatever. Everyone chooses to do what they feel is right.
They won't give women in their first trimester the flu shot at all around here because of the heightened risk of miscarriage. I know several women who have lost their baby soon after receiving the flu shot. One in her 3rd trimester whose fetus passed within 24 hours of receiving the vaccine. No one lied to her about it, or denied what had happened either. Though they couldn't prove that the death was related to the shot she was told straight up that it isn't unheard of for a baby to be stillborn after receiving the flu shot.

If they can't prove it can you please not post these things on here. Makes people like me worry ESP after fertility issues and a loss already....
This thread was a question or flu shot or not. Not why not to have it and to scare the pants off of anyone who did
So thanks for that
