Are you keeping track of baby's movements?

Hi ladies! Over this past week I finally started to feel my little girl more consistently! :) What an amazing feeling.

I'm wondering if I should be keeping of the time of day and frequency of movements? I'm 21 weeks.
 
Congratulations on feeling the movements :). You could just make a mental note of the time of day and frequency?
 
Yay Terissa! Isn't it amazing??!!!! This is what I pulled up :)

"At what point in my pregnancy do I start Count the Kicks?" Typically you start monitoring fetal movements during the third trimester, or at 28 weeks. Your doctor may recommend that you begin at 24-26 weeks if you have a high-risk pregnancy. Most healthy babies should take less than 2 hours for 10 kicks.
 
I'd keep a mental note but normally you'd start about 28 weeks with a low risk pregnancy but theres no harm in starting at say 24 weeks :).
 
There no need to "count" kicks, you should however get to know your baby's usual pattern and report the same day if there are changes however you might not notice a regular pattern until closer to 28 weeks. The counthekicks.org.UK website had excellent advice for various stages etc.

This is a great website and they have a fb page too. I've got a wrist band from them so I can keep a note of when my baby has an episode of movement. They recommend that you don't count to 10 anymore but instead identify your own baby's pattern of movement. If baby's movement varies significantly one day then you should get checked out. Have a look at the website - it really is full of good advice.
