Hi ladies. I thought I would post this link in case anyone was interested. It relates to a study published earlier this year which concluded that, for women who have had 3+ losses and have no blood clotting issues, taking aspirin or a combination of aspirin and heparin did NOT increase the live birth rate. In fact, the placebo group had the highest birth rate.

I guess this is good news really, as it suggests that you really do have a 70% chance of success with no intervention so please do draw the positive from this.

It might be that some of you are taking these drugs (I was in the last pregnancy and may very well choose to in the next pregnancy as I feel that something is better than nothing), but I thought it only right to point out the research that a professor in gynaecology outlined to me this morning.

Good luck to you all.

So aspirin/heparin really only help if you have a blood clotting issue then, right?

Apparently so. I'm no scientist but that is what the new research suggests.
