Just wondering when you need to switch from the "1" teats to the "2"'s?

Also, a stupid question. What is the difference? They look the same to me

size 2 teats are slightly bigger, the teat bit is and so is the hole. lucas is 5months and i still haven't switched. its entirely upto you and ur lo. hope this helps. also boots sell the vari-flows teats which basically adapt to ur los sucking.

It totally depends on your LO when to switch.

We moved to size 2 within a week of LO starting bottles. She was struggling to get anything out, taking ages over bottles, and getting tired/cranky trying to feed. Tried Variflow and she hated them. Tried size 2, and she was a happy baby again.

I think when they start to fall asleep or take alot longer than normal that's a sign that they are needing to move up a teat size!

I just put Megan on size 2 this week, she wasn't finishing her bottles and was getting frustrated when feeding, it has made some difference already!

You could just try them out. Buy them, see how you get on, and if she spits milk out or chokes then they are to big. It shouldnt be a waste of money as you will use them eventually anyways.

We switched from 1 to variflow when Ellie was about 3 weeks old.

we swapped aiden at about 3/4 wks and he was lots better and slept better, im considering fast flow no 3 in the next few weeks as 150ml seems to take a long time to drink cxxx

I kept using 1's until she was about 5 months old. Then I just went straight to 3's. That's when she started to struggle / take longer to drink.

Well I've just made the switch from 1 to 2. However, a couple of the teats kind of, suck back into the bottle. What does that mean? :S

squeeze around the valve, it's likely to be blocked, it'll unblock it & hopefully solve the teat collapsing
