Hi, I'm desperate to get away on holiday but my husband can't get time off work until October! I am stuck for ideas of where to go for an Autumn holiday! We can't book anything abroad as little one doesn't have a passport yet. She will be 9 and a half months in October and is already very active, crawling and climbing everywhere. We have already been to center parcs in longleat this year, back in June. Does anyone have any ideas?

Xx

What about booking a cottage in Cornwall/Devon? We went to one in May and it was lovely. We booked a site with a pool as Bethan loves swimming and then we always had something to do.

What is Centre Parks in Longleat like btw? We are thinking about that but have heard mixed reviews xx

Hello, I have thought about a cottage in the UK somewhere but I am worried it will be a bit dreary and depressing as it is at the end of the season and I doubt the weather will be good.

I really enjoyed Center Parcs. We went when our daughter was 6months, so we didn't do anything accept use the pool and restaurants. I imagine paying out for all the activities would become very expensive. The shop they had there was very convenient and we managed to find a family changing room at the pool each time. I had my birthday there and the cleaners noticed my cards and left a bottle of wine and a birthday card which was a nice gesture. We had an executive 1 bed villa (I think thats what it was called). It was accomodation that was newly decorated so it was very nice and clean with flat screen tvs and a spa bath!

I would definitely recommend CP for this age!!

Although we went to Whinfell, Niamh LOVED it. We spent most the day in the pool, rented a bike and she loved crawling about while we played Badminton etc! Everywhere is so child friendly and you can make it as cheap or as expensive as you'd like! I was a bit tight for money this month so I took all my food and ate in all but one night and didn't have to spend ridiculous amounts in their overly priced shop, borrowed a bike seat from a friend so I didn't have to rent one and didn't do any activities.

I loved it so much we're going back in a few months with my parents etc.

You could however go somewhere with an in door pool (many places in Cornwall wtc do) and rent a static caravn?

I used to work at center parcs longleat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its 2 mins down the road from me!!!

back to the topic.. im going on a john fowlers holiday to Ilfracombe in October for 3 nights. £75! bargain :) my LO will be nearly 5 months

Going anywhere is cornwall will be nice, like someone else suggested you'd be able to hire a cottage for a decent price!!!
