Hi,

I spotted quite bad every month for years when I didn't used to. So I took b-50 complex. I was also on maca root. Whatever one it was dramatically improved my spotting but it was still there. I then increased to b-100 but miscarried that baby I also ended up with tingling in my toes so decreased back to b-50 where i didn't see it again. I'm also on pregnacare conception. So my question is esp for b6 and niacin is the b/50 still safe to take in pregnancy

Thanks!

Have you googled this elsewhere hun? It seems quite specialist which is probably why you haven't had any replies! I don't really know what these things are :/ but there'll be a forum somewhere that does

Thanks Hun..... I've tried google lots of conflicting advice just seeing if there is anyone that is on it 👍

They would be safe as long as they are within the maximum daily allowance. I would be careful taking the two together unless I knew they didn't take me over that. Pregnacare is pretty complete so I would add up the amounts in each together and check the maximum safe limits for each vitamin. That should be easy to find online. I'm pretty sure the US FDA has a guidance. I imagine the NHS probably does somewhere as well. Otherwise all vitamins list their percentage of RDA on the label, so just make sure the numbers don't add up to much over 100%. But if your pregnant, your hormones will be very different anyway and you're unlikely to need much to balance them now. If you are spotting still, I would see your midwife because it could be something that needs checking or has nothing to do with your b vitamin levels, especially if you've had a previous miscarriage.

Thanks Hun, I'm not spotting. My worry is if I come off then and then lose the baby. I know that they can help with low progesterone although I don't know if that is an issue but they did seem to help with the spotting when I was ttc. It does take me over the RDA but I've read that won't I don't use is excreted as it is water soluble? Read a few doctors say online it's fine but think I might ask my private consultant
