So had my 19 week scan of my twins and was all set for the best day and the best news.... not quite the case. I left crying and am sooo worried about the possiblility of anything wrong with my babies

Baby A showed a spot on the brain, choriod plexus cyst. Although, the ultrasound tech tryied to reassure me this is normal and will resolve on it's own, I'm still worried. I thought I could handle it, then the other baby had a finding.

Baby B showed a spot on the heart, echogenic cordae tendonaea. Again, the ultrasound tech said this can be normal, I will have a fetal echocardiogram in a week.

This is just too much for me. What are the chances that both babies have findings? Anyone else have any experiences with this? I'm just beside myself right now...

HI honey. I have no experience with either one of those situations. I didn't want to read and run. Try to be brave until you get more information. Right now your babies are inside growing and I really hope you get some great news soon. Try to hang in there honey.

Hugs. I answered your other thread but wanted to here as well. My daughters scan showed a 3.4mm nuchal fold, a 2 vessel cord and mt papp-a was low. Our odds for trisomy 18 were 1 in 54 and 1 in 20 for trisomy 13. With those odds it was really scary.

I had a cvs and she has come back clear on all 40 counts. Your babies stand a huge chance of being just fine! I know what the worry feels like and I am here for you.

I appreciate your reassurance on both posts. I don't even remember them checking the nuchal thickness. what is a cvs? It kinda feels like my life has come to a halt. :( I hope my story is similar to yours. .

My girlfriends just had her little boy who had a cyst on his brain at the 20 wk u/s. He was born perfect!

Today is my babies echo cardiogram..... Im so nervous, I feel sick...

We had our fetal cardioechogram which showed that each of the babies hearts are functioning perfectly. :happydance: The echogenic spot, however, was just a little bigger than what they consider "within normal limits" so we will have to have another one when the baby is a bit bigger. The spot is a tissue density on one of the several cords that keeps the valve in the left ventrical in place while the heart is beating. Again, there is no valve problems at this point, so we are back to the wait and see game. I'm hopefull after this next scan in December, we will be given a clean bill of health.... What a scare!!
