Baby asprin!

So i have just had/ in the middle of a mc. Obvisouly i'm devastated, but i need to make sure this never happens again, should i try baby asprin? How and when do u take it? XXX

No idea, but I would ask your dr. Things I am doing to *try* and prevent a m/c is increase dosage of folic acid, omega vitamin's, and cut out caffiene completely (as well as some prescribed meds). If you even want to talk, please PM me.

Daisy hun there is nothing you can do to prevent a m/c. Nothing you did or didn't do made it happen or, could of prevented it from happening. You need to wait for 1st af after this could take anywhere up to 12wks to arrive before you start trying again. If you haven't read the thread about myths and facts of m/c's at the top of this forum please read it. It is very informative and it was put together by someone who has had more than 1 m/c.

I was told by the hospital, next time i get pregnant they will put me on this, but not to take it before hand, im having blood tests done this weekend, checking me for everything, and if it all comes back clear then i wont need to take it, but im in too minds 2 take it if it does come back clear, as my doctor has advised that it can cause problems, so i would ask for advice on that one first, i hope this helps xxx

I have nothing but good things to say about baby aspirin, but this is from my personal experience only.
My doc prescribed me low dose aspirin after 2 m/c's straight after the 2nd one. I got caught again without an af inbetween and this bubs is doing great! I stopped taking it on the advice of my consultant at 13 weeks.

He did say to me though that he doubts it did anything to keep this pg going but could never be 100% sure. He said that it would only cause probs at the delivery if it wasnt stopped at 36 weeks but other than that it is not known to cause any harm whatsoever to the unborn fetus or you.

I dont know if it did/didnt play a part but I would do it again in a flash!

Talk it over with your doc hun, you need his backing really.

Hi hun, just want to say do talk to your Dr before you start taking this but i would really say go for its ok with him, i had a m/c in 2003 and was told to start taking this in future pregnancy as it will thin my blood and i am now nearly 19 weeks.

The Drs do think that it has helped a hugh lot with this pregnancy so do look into it, all the best xx

I would check with your doctor first before you start taking any tablets.

I have heard some good success stories about aspirin but I wouldnt personally take it without talking to my doctor first.

When do i need to start taking it cos i see the fs on wednesday but i dont want to wait till then, i want it to get in my system in case i fall right away, i have heard it helps with the lining which i think i need?

Did you say you will see the FS this coming Wed? That's in no time.... Wait till you ask before you self medicate IMO hon... I know it's terrible to wait but a few days won't make much of a difference.

should never take asprin for pregnancy enless ur dr perscibes it. its always saffer to get it perscribed.

and because your still m/c taking it now will cause problems coz itl thin ur m/c blood and can cause problems

Daisy, can you not ring and put in a query with your doc?

What I did was phone the docs and spoke to receptionist and asked her to put in a query with the doc about aspirin. I told her I was m/c for the 2nd time and want to get to ttc right away. She then asked me to phone back later and I did and the doc had a nice little prescription sat waiting for me : )

Can you do this with your docs?

My dr's are making me feel like such a pain, if my temp is still high tomorrow i have to beg for an appointment incase i have a womb infection, so if i have to i'll ask then.

I started taking my aspirin about a week before I conceived. It took about 3 weeks after my last m/c for me to ovulate, so if you are just ending your m/c then its likely you wont ovulate again for a few weeks. By this time you will have seen your doc or specialist and got the go ahead to start. xx
