Baby backpacks

Morning girls, do any of you use a baby backpack for hiking? We're starting to investigate these now, as our LO will soon be big enough to go in one. Lots of choice out there, so am looking for any pointers. We used to do a lot of hiking pre-baby and we hope to start again this summer, as LO will be 6+ months by then. Need a backpack that will keep LO and us comfy for long-ish days (say 6-hr hikes), suitable for all weathers and all terrains, and ideally with some space for picnic, nappy, etc.

hi, I've been looking into these too. A few of my friends have gone for the macpac make as they are a very established rucksack make so provide a comfortable carry. I've heard that the little life carriers are not very comfortable.

I think i'm going to go for a macpac possum as they are small and lightweight but with storage space.

The other makes which are good as they make rucksacks too are deuter and vaude
