Hi guys..this is my first post, even though I get on here frequently. I'm 18 and am 19 weeks pregnant. Before I became pregnant I was an A cup and am currently a DD and I'm sure some people would love their new tatas but all I see is stretch marks and I can't help but feel sad. I've gained 10 pounds weight wise but I can't imagine getting any bigger and the thought is killing me. I've always had problems with my body image and this is all so new. Has anyone else gone through this or is going through it and how did you cope

I understand about the boobs thing my boobs were the only place I really got stretch marks but they do fade in time. Your body will change it has to accommodate a baby, but you should be proud of it, you're body is doing something incredible! Chin up hun! :flower:

Hun I know how you feel. I didn't get all that with the boobs, but I struggled with my body image before pregnancy. I lost weight before I actually KNEW I was pregnant. I lost around 5lbs. I was finally feeling pretty good, but now I am 30 weeks pregnant and have gained that back and then some. :dohh: but just do like I have been and remind yourself after baby gets here we can focus on losing weight and for now just focus on growing baby!

I understand completely where you're coming from! My boobs have awful stretch marks & since i breastfeed they probably wont be going away and if they do itll be a while but honestly its all worth it to me. I didnt end up having stretch marks on my stomach until i hit 40 weeks and went overdue, my stomach looks a little funny now but i just learned to laugh at it. I know its hard to cope with but just think of the beautiful baby you'll get out of it!

regarding going from the A to DD cup and stretchmarks: both my sister and my best friend had this happen as teenagers without being pregnant, one at 13 which was to be expected, the other at 17 and within just a few weeks/months. both of them got stretch marks on their boobs and were desperate, but now they're in their mid twenties and there is no sign of those!!

teenage bodies are hormonal bombs even without pregnancy, which can make you way more sensitive to the changes (both physically and emotionally) , but they are also way more "pliable", flexible and plastic that you can revert to or go to anything.

i also find while being a teen, you are also way more sensitive to external pressure on how should a proper female body look, by all the adds and fashion magazines... at least i was. but just remember: envy asides, ALL the fashion pictures even of the most beautiful women on earth are photoshopped. even Angelina Jolie's.

and if any extra weight is worrying you...just think of all the runnin you will have after your LO is born (plus breastfeeding also if you're up for it).... it's gonna wear off all the weight you ever put on trust me!

Heey, my name is Ashley, congrats btw! :)
I also have quite a bit of stretch marks, and they are almost EVERYWHERE! The most of them are on my breasts :/ It is quite frustrating because I did have nice firm breasts before, and now they are all saggy D: lol.
I feel very self conscious about them. Honestly, I will probably get a boob job done to fill up the extra skin, lol. I just try to laugh about it now and look past it. I have a child out of it and I couldn't ask for more :)

You're a tiger darling, you've earned those stripes!
I know it sounds cliché (I hate mine too). Have you tried Bio Oil? It has helped mine in so many ways!
With the whole weight thing, I know just how upsetting it can be. To yourself, you're huge! But to your baby, you have the perfect environment from them to grow all nestled away, happy and healthy xo
If it starts to worry you too much, maybe (if you haven't already) go swimming or do some yoga a couple of times a week xo But all in all, you're a beautiful vessel, doing a lot of hard work. When people look at you, they won't think "Oh, she's fat". They will think "Awh, look at her gorgeous baby bump" Who doesn't love babies?!
