Hello ladies,
My baby is 1 week 1 day old today. While at the hospital we were giving her Similac Advance. However, it seemed to be too rough on her tummy and on Thursday night we switched her to Enfamil. She has 1 BM on Friday then nothing at all Saturday. I searched the internet and found most people suggesting to insert a qtip with vaseline to stimulate her to poop, which I must say worked. She pooped like crazy. However, again Monday, no poop so I had to do the same thing. The pediatrician says its normal when switching formulas and that they can take up to 5 days for their stomach to adjust to the change. However, I find that to be horrible and torturous. I also do not want to make baby dependent on my helping her poop. Can anyone offer advice. I'm a first time mom and its driving me crazy! I feel so bad for her I don't know what to do. Should I change her formula again to maybe Enfamil Gentlease or GoodStart Gentle?
Any input would be appreciated! Thanks
