Baby size scan!

I found out today my baby's estimated weight is 4lb 14oz and I'm only 31 weeks. Omg I'm going to give birth to an elephant lol.

They estimated Sophie to be over 7.5lbs at 36 weeks. She was born at 39+2 weighing 7lbs 15oz so the scan did overestimate.

I was told my boy was big at 34 weeks, then I had him at 42 weeks exactly, 7lb 12oz so very normal weight!

DD1 scan at 35+5 estimate weight 5lb 11 born 38+5 6lb 2
DD2 scan at 36 weeks estimate 6lb1 born 37+2 7lb

Mine weren't a million miles out

Ya, they said she's 6.9 at 36+6 so by 40+ she could be pretty big, or may not be.... Guess I'll find out in a few weeks!!! LOL

My oh sister got told her last two babies were small so they induced her around 38 weeks and they ended up being on the high end of 6lbs.

I think it is a guessing game and they do try their best to be accurate by following measurements on the scan but sometimes they will be way off and other times they will be spot on.

My little girl was 6lb 4, born at 36+1. she was 98th centile My second little girl was 5lb 8 at 36+4. She was 17th centile

Both I had growth scans just before and they were WAY off. so don't worry

I went yesterday (36+6) to have a scan to see how big my baby girl might be since the tech said she was so chubby at my 30+6 3D ultrasound... All of her measurements are right on at 36+6 and they said her weight is guesstimated to be around 6.9lbs!!! Average for 37 weeks is 6.3lbs. She's not GIANT but she does appear to be bigger than average. I know this is not a highly accurate measurement but it's still got me slightly worried lol Anyone else get a size scan around 37 weeks???

I had millions of growth scans. I think at 38 weeks he was measuring 6lbs. He was born at 40 weeks exactly at 7.1 so accurate for me. However I had one very inaccurate with my daughter. At 39 plus 2 she was predicted to be 7.7 she was born at 39 plus 5 weighing 6.12 so probably s pound out x
