I have a almost 3 week old baby and i fed her @ 9pm than at midnight and she seemed to sleep until 4 am and i gave her about 2 oz of milk and she didnt want anymore and fell back to sleep until about 8 am and i gave her another 2 oz .. is that enough and ok and normal?? Thanks :_)

Wow, my 7 month old still doesn't sleep that much! :) Jealous!

If she is continuing to gain weight and has the proper number of wet diapers, then it's just fine. If you are unsure, you can always consult your doctor, but the right number of diapers and weight gain indicates she is taking in enough milk/fluids.

Hi hun, Omar was a sleepy new born & used to go for 5-6 hrs without feed at night at around 3weeks. He used to take 2-3 oz per feed every 3-4 hrs during the day. As aliss mentioned, if she's having wet nappies & her weight gain is not affected, there is nothing to worry about. xx

i agree with the others! And enjoy your sleep! You need it! X

Hi, dont panic..I had the same with my baby and I felt terrible. If your baby is formula fed then at that age they should be having around 6 feeds a day...in the daylight hours you will just have to try and get 5 feeds done and then that one in the middle of the night....just to make sure they are getting the right amount required per day. Dont worry too if they just take a little bit in one feed. My baby is 9 weeks old and I worry all the time about her feeding but I am now a lot calmer about the long sleeps at night. Enjoy it x

Yep, my baby is mainly bf but needed ff to top her up she is so hungry.
She took 5oz at 9pm and three hrs later took 7 oz and slept 12.30pm till 6.30am.
Very normal x

that sounds normal 2 me. when my son was 3weeks old he would only take 2oz every 3hours anyway xxx

It all depends on the weight of the baby and how many ounces they usually take. But like the others have said, if your LO is gaining weight and has the right amount of wet nappies then enjoy your sleep :)
