Hi all! :hi:

I just brought my little girl home from hospital this week. She is 10 weeks old and 38 weeks corrected. I have a wrap and would love to be able to carry her in it but she's only 6lbs and according to the moby site the Newborn Hug Hold and the Kangaroo Hold shouldn't be used until 8lbs. I know that wraps like the moby can be used to carry babies from around 5/5.5lbs but I'm not sure which carry is best? Any suggestions? I know I found a site before with info about wrapping premmies but can't find it now!:dohh:

Thanks in advance!!:flower:

Thanks! I thought there might be some reason like that alright...

Just in case anyone else is looking for carries this page has 2 that are suitable for premature babies...

our SCBU had wraps for babies and they are ok for prems even the little bitty ones (mainly just when you are laying back to keep them warm and secure on you while doing kangaroo care) but from 5 pounds up it was ok to use and wander around the unit for a wee bit was really nice when DD was in the feeder grower stage

Thanks Juicy! What way were they wrapped when u were walking around? Was it the same as the video posted above?

I started with the newborn hug hold when my lo was just under 6 pounds and she did great. As always, watch breathing, temp, etc
