I actually know a couple who did that. When they got married, they decided they wanted a name of their own and looked through the phone book and just picked a new last name. The Wife also changed her first name, though the hubby kept his. I thought it was the oddest thing but it worked for them!

I would give my child the last name Cooper.

Once you and your boyfriend get married, then everyone can change their name to Hay.

Me and OH we're only together 3 or 4 months before I got pregnant...but LO has her dads name. I don't think I ever really thought about her not having it because I know, no matter what happens between us, he will always play a large part in her life. We have talked abut marriage in the future and then we'll all have the same name.
