Back pain while sick

I'm officially 12 weeks today and I throw up every morning but this morning my stomach felt really tight and I had a stabbing pain in my back near my spine.
Is this normal?
I don't throw up constantly every morning. Just enough to get out the gross mucus.

It could be that you are tensing up. I know I used to with my DD's pregnancy

Throwing up is quite physical and I'd imagine cause your muscles in and around your stomach to contract unnaturally. You probably tense when you throw up plus hunch in a way you wouldn't usually. It's all quite unpleasant hope you are feeling much better soon!
