Basal temp - with ear thermometer?

Is it possible ladies?
I sleep with my mouth open so its not working.
I don't really like the idea of vaginally so any other suggestions?

You should definitely use a BBT instead of an ear thermometer as they are more accurate. Also, you can test orally, vaginally, or in your rectum. I wouldn't suggest testing in your ear. I test orally, but since we'll be using the AC soon I'm starting to test vaginally this cycle and going forward.

You had me stumped on 'using the AC' for aggges

Why do you want to do it vaginally? my DH is really against temping
I'm a shift worker who gets up to pee many times - doomed from the start!

I want to do it vaginallt because sometimes I sleep with my mouth open, and when we start with the AC (air conditioning haha) it might mess with my temps if my mouth has been open.

Luckily my H supports temping, because it's really helped us to avoid pregnancy until we're ready to start TTC

I shut my mouth for 5 mins before testing
