becoming pregnant and looking youthful worries!

I often get told I look younger, but the thought hasn't crossed my mind to be worried about what others may think.

Personally, I have never looked at anyone who looks, or who IS younger, and judged them in any way :)

This weekend my mom and I are going to a concert this Sunday the 31st at the casino here. I'll probably get carded again. :coffee:

Gosh, sorry ladies, i started this thread and then went on an unexpected break!
Thank you so much for all of your answers, very insightful. I'm so glad that all of you have had no problems or have been able to handle it easily - gives me some confidence (and i hope it's given others some confidence who are feeling the same as me!).

I'd tell then to mind there own business, have your tried different hair, make up or clothes?
Lol! I don't think im confident enough to say that to someone - i
I don't wear makeup, which probably doesn't help i suppose! My clothes are generally waterfall style cotton dresses with leggins and a cardy so i don't think it's how i dress. Perhaps i'll try some light make up and see if that makes a difference :)

TwilightAgain - that's amazing about your gran and dad! I don't think i would mind being Id'd at that age lol!

yes, i get that all the time. I'm 25 but people think i am much younger. and for some reason people always think my husband and i are brother and sister. it was funny for a while, but it has gotten old and annoying. I do wonder about what people will think when i get pregnant and what kinds of things they will say about my age. Especially from my husband's parents. I get the feeling they may view us as teen parents or something.

I'm 25 and when I was doing jury duty last year a lot of the other jurors didn't believe me when I told them my age. They thought I was 18/19! I don't look old but I certainly don't look that young! I too get people at my door asking if my parents are in which is handy because I hate talking to strangers and people trying to sell me stuff! I'm lucky that when I'm out with my DH though people tend to think I'm about my age as he looks older which is funny as he's actually four months younger than me!

I don't worry about people think I look young when we do have babies though. I'll know that I'm in a good, stable relationship and plenty old enough to be having children. That's all that matters.

Well, I'm pretty sure I look my age. I'm 25, and I don't think I look any older or younger. Yay? Haha!

But I got married when I was 19, and we decided to start our family very soon after that. I totally looked like a pregnant teenager! And yeah I got some looks. Well, that's not true. My husband got the dirty looks! Old people giving him the stink eye like how could you do that to a child??? Pretty funny. But guess what? Who cares what they think! Eventually when you have a baby in your arms, you'll attain momhood status, and they'll just look at you as the baby's mother. If anyone judges you then they've got their own issues!

I always get ID'd, and feel like people give me funny looks when they realise I am married at 23. Tbh, I don't care about other people, I've been with my DH for a LONG time, since we were teenages in school, I think I can make the decision to marry him at 23, & have a baby at that age if that's what I want. Don't let them get to you. We'll be grateful for looking so young when we reach 40!

I just turned 26, but I look like I could be 16-17 still easily. I have two kids. I had lots of dirty looks last pregnancy when I was big and totting around a toddler. Someone stopped me when I had my daughter and I was at the store. I didn't have my wedding ring on because it was being resized due to pregnancy, and I was called teenage unwed trash. I was in such shock that I couldn't even respond until they were way gone!

You just have to shrug off stupid people.

That's very rude to say to someone. It's no one else's business how you live your life.

Man I wish I still looked young. Think I got to 25 and it all went downhill looks-wise. I'm nearly 27!!!!
But I rock the 27 look. Although I try and go a bit more youthful by wearing flats, and having wavy hair.
I don't get IDed as much. Either because they know my face or I look my age.
I recently got IDed in the bookies *Proud Moment* :haha:

But I wouldn't worry about what people think about your age when pregnant. Back in the days people used to get pregnant at young ages, like early 20s.

Im 24, look like a teenager and have 3 kids! yesterday i was refused food from a pub because i didnt have ID, i didnt even want a drink! lol

I had my kids at 17, 19 and 20 so should have seen the looks i got pushing a double buggy with a bump lol I didnt care, its my life and they are my kids and we are all happy :)

I still get the 'are they ALL yours?' comments and people choke when i first say i have 3 lol I just shrug it all off

god help me when i get #4 in the oven! lol xx
