Bedrest and loneliness

Yes thankfully the spotting stopped.
Mom is awesome! She accompanied me for the appointment.

baby turned from breech to cephalic. I hope now (s)he stays here. Breech deliveries are tough...

So glad the spotting is over and that the baby turned. Enjoy this time with your mom.

Got 2nd dosage of steroid yesterday. In case if baby comes early. Baby is moving less. Bit tensed.

Are you 29 weeks now or 30?
The baby is also getting bigger and has less room to move around!

Moving less or the movements feel different? Remember the baby is getting bigger so you won't feel big kicks anymore like you used to. The quality of the movements change but please follow your gut and let your doctor know if you really feel like your baby isn't moving much. Eat something sugary, have some water, and lie down if you feel nervous and want to make sure the baby is moving. Oranges and orange juice always woke my baby right up!

Baby moved a lot at night. Now doing some strange shifting movement all the time. But I am worrying because any movement is better than being super quiet.

How is it going with you gurls?

I just read this whole thread. You are one strong lady! Best of luck with the last bit of your journey x

I've been away for a couple of days so have missed my Bnb fix!! Glad baby is still moving around at night for you hun. Did you speak to your consultant about movements? When is your next appointment? I'm sure movement is a good sign - as they get bigger they have less wriggle room.

WOW just wanted to say what an amazing and strong woman you are! This baby is lucky to have such a great mama :) I cant wait to see your beautiful baby picture :)

I haven't been on here in a while but have followed your story. I'm so glad you and your baby are hanging in there. I really admire you. You are such a strong woman and I'm glad you have a supportive husband and mother. I wish your inlaws were more supportive but it's so hard to overcome such strong traditions. You are going to be such a great mother. I look forward to your updates and hearing about you finally giving birth to that little one of yours.

Thanks ladies for all your support!

So I had my biweekly scan today. Fluid levels are pretty low at 8.8. Now I need to go for scans in every 10 days. Hope to make it to 34 weeks.

What are your fluid levels supposed to be? Is there anything you can do to raise them? Really hoping for you hun - are you 30 weeks now? So you're praying for another 4 weeks?? We can count down together - in 4 weeks I hit my v-day! Counting every day now.

:hugs:

Normal levels are 8-25. Doctors like to see at least around 10-12. I am having this low fluid levels since 25 weeks. It was 8.4 then and they gave me IV fluids, L-Arginin sachets and asked me to increase my fluid intake. I went for scan twice in between and fluid stayed around 10. So OB made my visits bi-weekly. This time I went after 2 weeks and fluid is low again!

She does active management (induction) if level is 5. For me even 2 gallons of water not being much help. Now summer is almost there and it going to be 42 degree centigrade soon! So more chances of dehydration. OB suspects it could be placenta issue as I bled for weeks very heavily earlier in this pregnancy. So doppler scan has been suggested to check the blood flow to the baby. From 32 weeks I will be starting Non-Stress test (NST) too.

As of now she suggested kick counts for 3 times a day. Low fluid may cause growth delays, stifness of joints, lesser movements and fetal distress. So I would need frequent monitoring and serious kick counts. It is stressful indeed. Yes I am 30 weeks now and 10 days to appointment seem to be forever now. I should have got a full time OB at home. Lol!

Yay for V-day in 4 weeks. Yes let's count together. Just pray my fluid at least stays here if not higher and baby keeps growing! Doctor is optimistic for anything after 34 weeks. Off topic but I was a 34 weeker too! I wish to reach 37 because NICU is the last thing I would like to deal with now. But just having trust on my OB. Hope whatever happens now happens for best.

Thanks a lot hun. The support means a lot to me. Too many appointments and high risk pregnancy is freaking me out! I too can't wait to hold a healthy baby soon! 10 weeks to go!

Thank you very much! I am luckier to have the little rainbow. I am still so afraid! I just dont want to lose him/her.

You're in good hands Hun!
You'll make it!

You are being so strong!! You and your ob are doing everything possible to give your baby the best start. You've made it this far - just a few more weeks to hang in there. Are you still on the sachets with your water? Will be praying your levels go up and not down :flow:
