Been off depo 5 months and hubby has type 1 diabetes! please help!

My hubby and I have been trying now for 5 months to conceive. I only took one depo shot and never went for my second one. I'm battling terribly to get my periods back. Just finished a two week one. Second one in 5 months and I don't seem to be ovulating. My hubby has type 1 diabetes so I'm not sure if that could also affect us conceiving? If anyone has had any experiences and success after coming off the depo, please share it with me I NEED my month to come SOON!
