Been there and been here

That is the most eloquent and just account I have seen on this feeding thread. You get your point across so well and give a balanced view from both sides. Thank you Leeanne for sharing that. It highlights that mothers should celebrate each others choices not berate or deride them for the choices they make.

xx

That is exactly what I thought & you said it so well thank you & again thank you Leeanne as new mothers we have more than enough to worry about without letting other peoples veiws/opinions bother us more :hugs:

very well said! I wish more people had that kind of respect for both methods of feeding.

That was a lovely read Leeane :) I still feel guilty about me not bf Joey as long as i wanted to but you're absolutely right in that if they're happy & healthy then that's all that really matters!
Thankyou!
xx

Thank you Leeanne for taking the time to post about your BF & FF experiences. I only wish that I had this information when I was a young Mom almost 12 years ago. I am sure you may have helped so many on making the choice that is right for them. Very lovely wording and such an easy good read :)

That was a beautiful read and brought tears to my eyes :cry:. You're right - as long as baby is well fed, oved and nutured, then thats the most important thing for a happy baby.
Thankyou x x

Thanks for posting this, Leeanne. I am sure everyone on here can relate to all or part of this post! :) It is nice to read about how Chase is just as happy as your other children are. I am formula feeding Helena and even though she is as happy as can be, I still occasionally feel bad for not continuing with breast feeding. As for feeding Jayden until he was 3, Hey, I watched a show yesterday about a lady breastfeeding her kids until they were 11, so 3...thats nothing! :D

:saywhat:

Ok, I don't feel so badly now. LOL

Imagine having your 11 year old sitting...or possibly standing...and breastfeeding. OMG!

Yeah it was on 20/20 lol. She had 2 daughters around that age breast feeding. They would draw pictures of their moms boobs and they would come home from school at lunch time and suck away.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Now that is "extended" breastfeeding.

that was a great read leeanne, i think that three might be a bit old but before i started BFing i thought that babies over 1 shouldnt be breastfed and ive totally changed my mind coz i love it so much, so who knows what ill think by the time i get there!!
welldone for making a decision that works for your life, i am sure all your children are very happy and they have a happy mommy which is one of the keys to their happiness!
