Hi, just found out I am being made redundant and I was wondering what (if anything) I can apply for benefit wise.

I have worked with the company for 4 years. My hubby earns 17k and we have a son.

It varies from country to country and province/state to province/state. Do you pay into employment insurance at your job? If so, you should contact whoever administers it and make sure you can start collecting EI the moment you're laid off. Beyond that, you can look into collecting welfare once your EI runs out, as well as - hopefully - finding a new job.

go to the CAB, they'll tell you what you are entitled to!
