This is hypothetical, but if my back gets much worse I am not sure I will be able to do my job as sitting then standing etc is hurting and usually I am unable to straighten up, then walking hurts so bad it almost makes me wet myself - so getting to work might be hard as I don't have a driving license and so have to walk 15 mins to and from the bus stop at work end.
So my question is..............if my time to go back to work comes, and my back is soo bad I cant go back to work, and I get signed off sick what would happen? In our company you get 5 instances of being off sick then you get no pay. As far as I know its full pay for a few weeks then SSP. Could they get rid of me if it was unclear when I could return to work?
I am really hoping it doesn't come to this, ut we REALLY need the money so I have to go back to work in Feb , but my back is really bad - so bad that we are having to raise Emmas cot about 10-15cm so I don't have to bend in to pick her up, and if I am down on the floor with her playing, I have to make sure I have stuff I need as I cant get up and down.
