too pregnant to work hard? 'you're pregnant not ill'

True story: I just called my eldest son in here, and said "would you please get my leftovers out of the fridge, put them on a plate, heat them in the microwave, bring them to me, cut each bite with a fork, and feed it to me?" He grinned and said "Yes mistress".

LOL I've got the best family -

I hope you didn't have to strain your poor pregnant vocal chords calling him in. :hugs:

And i have been searching for qualified nannies when all i need to do is go find someone willing to lend me their child.

Shrimpy is offering a buy one child, get a sandwich free deal! Or was it buy a sandwich, get a girl?

I thought the sandwich and girl were both free.
I think the girl is too young to be of much use though :haha:

(2nd tri boards are so much more fun!!)

Too bad for the little girl. I'm PREGNANT, I don't care how young she is. i need some service!

Maybe look into one of those helper monkey services!

Will you be a dear and do that for me?

Maybe the child can be tasked with finding a helper monkey? I simply don't have the energy.

Lol! He's awesome - a real jewel and he'll make some lucky woman a wonderful husband one day. So needless to say, sorry but I can't spare him... anyone else got a spare child around??

That is pretty awesome! He'll make a good baby-daddy too. ;)

I wouldn't DARE ask an assistant to get me a drink. Not in a million years. I'm not THAT lazy (and as you know, I'm really, really lazy).

Love you too, bmonki.

But firstly - a good big brother! He loves babies and dotes on his baby cousins and my baby brother. He's really looking forward to this new one, and I can already tell he's gonna be a huge helper.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Where have I been all day while this was going on? I'm not even at work this week! Oh that's right, I went to homebase in the afternoon and was so beat I had to lie on the settee the rest of the day watching tv while DH double coated the loft and stairs while suffering with genuine suspected flu.

Actually it's been a hard day. :( *sympathy please*. I walked the dog, collected the boy from nursery and even had to out chips and last night's lasagne in the oven for lunch! Plus I had to do bedtime stories today. Fortunately Byron has a proper single bed so I just got in with him to rest my tired bones.

Aw. But she's SOOO CUTE to make up for it!

Aw. But she's SOOO CUTE to make up for it!

she is, but cuteness doesnt make mummy drinks!

True. I'd say she's got about 6 more months of being allowed to get away with this laziness, then she'd better start earning her keep.

This is very true, i just cant abide such idleness in one so young. i saw a mini hoover that actually picks fluff up that i wanna get her for xmas :haha:

Aw. But she's SOOO CUTE to make up for it!

she is, but cuteness doesnt make mummy drinks!

Maybe when she's older it will attract teenage boys who can be put to work around the house. So its more of a long-term investment? :haha:

Ah, this is a point i hadnt thought about... yes boys to help around the house would be lovely!

Agreed  Afterall, she's not pregnant, whats her excuse?

Right. The way I see it, as soon as they're walking, you start training them. Start small, like "fetch mommy the remote." Then progress to "bring mommy her purse please". Then when you think they've got the coordination, have them bring you your drinks and snacks. As soon as they're old enough to work the stove, say about 2 1/2 years, they can start heating your meals for you. And 3 years old is when you teach them to clean the bathroom. No lazy children for me, please.

i'll have her driving me around by the age of 4 with her sister cooking all the meals

Now you're thinking! Start her off young. No frivolous toys please.

That sounds fair and reasoned to me.

Yep. How do you think I got such helpful boys? Case in point, my son just came to ask me if my enchiladas were good. "Yes darling they were, thank you so much".

Nice. I should be taking notes. But....that sounds like work, too.
