Best body lotion for expanding figures??

I actually got this recommendation from my OH's mom, and so far it's worked for me (although I am not huge yet, I am very prone to stretch marks and not 1 on my belly or sides yet). I use cocoa butter lotion and mix just about 50/50 with vitamin E oil. I only do this at night since the oil takes a bit to soak in, but she swears by it! I found a little squeeze bottle of pure E oil at Target pretty cheap. :)

I use belli oil...it is expensive, but bought my bottle when I was about 9 weeks and still have 1/4 left. It smells amazing and it soaks in pretty well..I have no stretch marks yet! I also use lotions throughout the day and I plan on getting cocoa butter soon!

Hmm... I just ordered a new bottle of bio-oil (got it from ebay for half price) but it's true that when you put it on, you need to live it for a while to dry. My doctor advised a hydrating oil of some sort and suggested Clarins, which is too expensive for me, so when I mentioned bio-oil he said absolutely fine. I also asked a pregnant lady at the chemist's and she said she's using good old olive oil too, so I'm thinking there must be something in the oil to do the trick.

I had bought a small bottle of almond oil but then read (on the net) that it can be toxic and should be avoided in pregnancy- even though another chemist gave it to me. No idea whether true or not, best to ask a doctor.

I'm also considering buying either the cocoa butter from the body shop, or the boots Derma Mum cream, or just the pregnacare cream for stretch marks, for more frequent use.

I use Clarins Huile Tonic - Body Treatment Oil and I love it! My SIL bought it for me as a gift and I'm about half way through the bottle but will be buying myself a couple more soon. It smells so good and doesn't take long to soak in nor is it very oily... which is weird seeing as how it's oil but it's just fab! Can't recommend it enough.

Ive been using Palmers stretch mark massage lotion, im only 17 weeks but not a single mark anywhere yet! fingers crossed it stays that way h a x

Okey dokey, I just discovered this:

*goes to explore.*

Wow thank you ladies!!! I have bought some palmers cocoa cream - it's nice but I wish it had a nice flowery girly fragrance instead of getting wiffs of choc all day lol x

I use virgin coconut oil mostly. Tummy is lovely and soft. No idea if it'll prevent stretchies, but I've heard there's nothing you can do about those anyway so I'm not going to worry about it. I just want to keep my skin well moisturised so it doesn't get irritated and itchy :) This seems to be doing the trick so far.

Palmers gave me spots all over my belly! Using the most amazing cream from my work called Pure Fiji Body Butter. It's all natural ingredients and coconut oil based. Smells incredible and makes your skin like silk as it really soaks in, some cheaper creams will sit on the surface of the skin and not do much xxx

I've been using Palmers Cocoa Butter for stretch marks and I haven't got any yet, in fact I had a few on my chest from before I got pregnant and there now gone. :)

I've just discovered that M&S do a nice cocoa butter version (and body wash) for half Body Shop's price. I think that and Bio-Oil will do for me now.

i started with cocoa butter, but my massage therepist says that oils are what you need to keep your skin elasticy. It works out because baby oil is very cheap compared to some of those creams.. and you smell like a baby!

Ohh another tip. Fill your bath will baby oil...makes your skin as soft as a baby's bum :)
