Best carpet cleaning products

We live in a housing association house and they fitted cream carpets before we moved in. Nice with OH and 1 yr old The are really mucky and even the Vanish carpet foam isnt cleaning it well. Is there anything in a can/bottle that will get rid of the dirt and various liquids that have been spilt?

thanks. Im thinking of buying a carpet washer but cheapest is about £70. Not bad I suppose really.

Get the rug doctor!!! It's amazing.. Sainsburys and b & q both hire it out for £25 you can do a whole house in half a day. My mum bought a vax, top of the range and it's shit in cOmparison!
