As the title says really, what is the best pureed food to give lo first? I was thinking either carrot, apple or pear. What would you suggest for first time?

Thanks xx

wholesomebabyfood.com this is a great website, lists all the stuff for a 4month old and gives you recipes

Any of those are good, and sweet potato, mango etc, then you can try some less sweet veggies like swede and courgette etc. You may need to mix a sweet puree with a blander one to get your LO used to the taste. The first rime I gave my LO avocado I had to mix it with strawberry! I wouldn't eat it but LO loved it! X

My doctor recommended starting with vegetables first (start with carrots, then peas, squash and green beans). Allowing a 6-7 day window between each to allow for allergies. She said if you do apples and pears first some babies develop a sweet tooth and won't eat the vegetables.

We started with butternut squash after a disaster the first time around with rice cereal. I thought the waiting time between each was 4 days? Weve been doing 4 days and it takes forever getting variety at that.

Our order went something like this: Butternut squash, apples, bananas, pears, sweet potato, peas, yellow squash, etc, etc.
