best gig you've been to?

I've been lucky enough to have been to loads of gigs: Muse, Kaiserchiefs, Franz Ferdinand (3 times), Kelly Clarkson (twice), KT Tunstall(twice), Katie Melua, the levellers, Paolo Nutini, Ocean Colour Scene, James Blunt, Arctic Monkeys, Amy Winehouse (one of the last good gigs she did in 2007), gonna go see Noel Gallagher tomorrow night.

out of them all I thought Muse were amazing, but lacked connection with the audience, but really well made shows.

was amazed by James Blunt, easily the most emotional & heartfelt performance I've ever seen. would love to see him again.

Paolo Nutini was a big disappointment. he seemed drunk on stage. singing was dreadful.

loved Kelly Clarkson, great singing and connected with the audience really well, same for KT Tunstall.

Franz Ferdinand are great too. I went to this intimate gig on this Boat called the Thekla in Bristol and that was the best ever.

The one I remember the most was Alkaline Trio at the Octagon in Sheffield in 2006. It was the second time I saw them that year (the first was the same year at Rock City in Nottingham but it was a bigger venue). But Alkaline Trio are my favourite band so they always win

Oh oh also AFI in 2005 was amazing. It was one of those times when I couldn't actually believe I was there. <3

I saw Alkaline Trio on the 2006 tour in Wolverhampton, it was my birthday and also Matt Skibas birthday. Love them, first saw them in 2001 in a tiny room, they are always amazing!

I think my best gig would have to be the pixies because I thought I had missed my chance of ever seeing them and then they reformed and did a tour - I was so excited to be watching them.

I agree with the bit about Paulo Nutini, he really wasn't very good and seemed pissed x

Fleetwood Mac! Saw them in Nov 2009 and was without a doubt the best gig of my life. Probably closely followed by Portishead and I've also seen Blue Man Group who, whilst not a band as such, were incredible!

It's not really a 'gig', but Lady Gaga, last night :) Amazing experience for me.

I know so many people make fun of them, but honestly? Nickelback puts on a thrilling live show. It's very easy to get into having fun when they're playing live.

We saw Nickelback in June, and they had Bush with them as an opening act. Jinkies, Batman! Gavin Rossdale totally had me right from the start! I *don't* find him attractive in the slightest, but I don't even know what to say about that night. I was ovulating, I believe because that's right when this baby was conceived, but I was soooo hot for him that night! He had more energy than I've ever seen a person have. He seriously didn't stop moving, bouncing, and running the whole set! He came out with his hair pulled back. By the end, his hair was down and soaked with all that man sweat and his tank top was so wet it was see through and oh my goodness... Gwen Stefani is a lucky woman. If I were his wife, I don't think I could keep up with him.

And now I look over at the sleeping form of my own husband and thank God I have him that I do find attractive all the time and that I can keep up with. He's such a sweetie for enduring that show with me. I was like a hormonal school girl that night.

The prodigy at creamfields, red hot chilli peppers at Leeds were amazing! Bloody love them and was even better because we got free tickets for the festival from a friend! Block party too! I'm a bit more of a dance girl though so I've seen more djs than bands!

Xxx

Oh I agree with Nickelback! Seen them twice and they was fab! First time we saw them Staind was supporting them and second time Black Stone Cherry did. Would love to see them again tbh!

Ive also seen Kaiser Chiefs, The Who, Oasis, Kasabian, Madness, Avril Lavigne and they was all fab!

I saw gaga Saturday too she was just amazing!!!

By far the best gig I've ever been to was Eddie Vedder playing at the Hammersmith Apollo, it was immense :happydance:

xx

KOL in 2008... Amazing doesnt even start to come close!! :cloud9:

Oh easily Manchester Orchestra. They are always amazing live but Ruby Lounge Manchester last year was far and away the best gig ever... And I have been to a LOT of gigs. They are still a small enough band for the venues to feel intimate and honestly they tend not to have fans as such, but utter worshippers. They are so severely intense live. It's so hard for me to actually get across how amazing they are, but let's just say Ian and I were speechless afterwards and I actually felt so sad that no-one would ever understand what that night was like. Please check them out. I recommend listening to Virgin, I Can Feel a Hot One, Where Have You Been and The River.

Oh and Tenancious D were brill at Reading. Just to be in an 80k strong crowd, most of which behind as was 3 from front bar, all belting out Fuck her gently.

Xx

LOVE the pics Kitty, they are amazing. Can't believe you've seen Tenacious D! did you get any picks of them? I looove them.

Will defo check Manchester Orchestra out too. That's exactly how I felt after the WOTE gig, just speechless, I just wanted to see them over and over again, even today I felt like crying coz they weren't IN MY HOUSE :haha::blush:

xo

The Pharcyde this summer were awesome. Faithless were pretty amazing when I saw them but I have a feeling that the all-night Flying Lotus gig in Brixton in November is going to be my favourite of all time!

I did, but went with my ex who turned crazy so I deleted pretty much all the pics involving him. Gayyyy. Was so amazing though, most fun crowd ever. Everyone was just so friendly. There was a massive bearded roadie that looked like Hagrid. Oh the chants. "Hagrid, give us a wave, Hagrid, Hagrid, give us a wave". Sounds lame now but at time time, drunk on life and warm beer, unshowered and not giving a fuck, it was amazing lol xx

Ah I love Biffy. *sings all biffy songs with a fake scottish accent even though I'm a midlander*
