I have read in many forums that sometimes women get bfp even during their period ...is there any one out there who had similar experience if yes so kindly share with us?

I personally haven't, but a friend of mine did. Her period was lighter and shorter than her usual cycles. She was TTC and tested anyways and got her BFP. She had light, short periods for the first 4 months she was pregnant. She gave birth to healthy baby boy a few months ago.

I had in January. I had no clue I was pregnant, had no symptoms except for pimples everywhere on my back and some on my face. Went to see my family doctor, he told me I had too much sugar at Christmas (are you kidding, I barely had any). Got my period on January 1st and YES it was my period. I had normal bleeding for 5 days then ended with spotting on day 6. So five days after period got very heavy bleeding plus sharp cramps. Went for a blood test and it was positive, I was pregnant. But they told me there was something wrong...periods are ok, but heavy bleeding after periods no. I went for ultrasound and there it was, the baby implanted in the tube! Silly little one. So yep, had surgery few hours after took the baby out. They call that Ectopic Pregnancy.

So yes I believe you can have your period the first month of pregnancy, but I heard that you can have them to 9 months too! I have a friend who's sister had her period until month 6 of pregnancy.

That's all I know :winkwink:

You can definitely have bleeding during a pregnancy and I have friend who had it every month at the same time like you would a period. But if you are actually pregnant, you can't get a period (as in the shedding of your uterine lining that prepares your body for a fertilized egg). Though for some women, spotting can be an early sign of pregnancy and bleeding/spotting as long as it isn't heavy probably isn't anything to worry about if it happens occasionally during pregnancy. But like the above poster said, it can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy, or of a molar pregnancy or miscarriage. If you think you are pregnant and bleeding, it's probably a good idea to get it checked out.

A friend of mine had a 'period' (light bleeding for 3 days) but began having pregnancy symptoms after so went to her doctor and she's prego! That was all the bleeding she's had though and didn't even know what implantation bleeding was at the time.
