Bigger Babies Club

oh my goodness she is seriously adorable! Look at her cuddling her Daddy!!!

Thank you! She looks so tiny in that pic doesn't she?

She really does! Her Daddy looks very in love x

Hapigail - don't worry about your LO been fed on forumla, I only BF for a few days, also had a milk supply problem due to loss of blood - my LO ended up on hungry baby formula in the end. Now she has a good apetite and will try lots of different foods. I don't think it matters how they are fed at first in regards to obesity, its more how active they are and what they eat when they are on solids :flower:

Kitty looks totally in proportion :flower: Loving the way she travels with her legs poking out! Bless :D

Bigbetty - very sweet pictures :D

The Formula feeding = obese child/adult argument really frustates me!!

I genuinley believe Noah is meant to be the size he is, i do not over feed him and im sure he would be a similar weight if breastfed he has followed the same percentile curve from 3 weeks and has never been poorly, nor has my Health visitor ever seen his weight to be cause for concern.

As i'm weaning now he eats healthily and i plan for this to continue throughout his childhood. Myself and my OH eat healthily and are both well within a healthy weight range... And breath....

Anyway it just really frustrates me that people think that Noah is a big baby because he is fed on formula, babies come in all shapes and sizes, thats what makes them so special... Rant over!! xxx

Couldn't agree more. I am lucky in a way as my family does tend to produce big babies so I don't get comments off them however. . . in a way its more beneficial becasue it can be seen that no matter how they were fed, they turn out fine.

This is my nice as a chubster (pic1) and this is her now (pci 2 - well Christmas, she is 3yrs now). My personal fave is the one (pic 3) of my Chloe on the left as you look at the pic and my Uncles little girl (so my cousin) on the right! I think its mad how alike they look, they were born a week apart! Pic 4 is of Chloe around a year ago and pic 5 is a few months back.

Heres my big boys earlier this week

I'm sorry if my comment offended anyone, it's just a paranoia because of me being big, I worry about it all but I know that it's not formulas fault really!

I wasn't offended! Thats what these forums are for to discuss our concerns and worries! Just sharing my views xx

Loving all the pictures of the babies!

Can't believe how much the cousins look alike! I bet theyt arte going to grow up to be such close friends!!

I had Noah weighed yesterday and he now weighs 20lb 10oz at almost 25 weeks!!

I will try to upload some pics of my little chubster later!! x

I was glad to hear a few people in here say they know it's not formula just a big baby, it's so good to hear, thanks Emma!

Looking forward to seeing pics and loving the new ones up!

hapigail: I wasn't offended either, just trying to reassure you and as 1308emma says, it's what this forum is for, to discuss worries, this we hear, things people have said and support each other :flower:

lynnikins: Wow they certainly have the look of each other there, and having fun under the table! :flower:

1308emma: Looking forward to the pics  She is her cousin once removed to Chloe and my actual cousin which is even freakier! lol It's nice she has family close by the same age though :D

Hi ladies.. :flower:
Thought I would post.. My not so little man was 9lb 4oz at birth.. at 14 weeks he weighed 18lbs.. He is now 19+5 weeks and haven't had him weighed but reckon he is over 20lbs.. he is however close on 80cm long! He doesnt in the slightest look fat or out of proportion but just get a bit sick of everyone tellingme he looks like a 10 month old.. he is exclusively breastfed and has not started on solids/with weaning.. I feel like I never had a newborn as I see friend's babies who are like a few weeks younger than him and weigh what he did at 3 weeks old..
Bonus though is that he is so strong:thumbup:

Welcome :)! Those are the exact weights (okay, 9lb 3oz) that my boy was, now registering at 28lbs and 10 months next week. It can be quite shocking to see other babies eh? I never realize how massive mine is until I see other ones.

Of course, one downside is that you will likely need to purchase an extended rear facing car seat! If your LO continues at the same rate, then he'll need it! :) He's gorgeous.

Aw thank you.. That was him at like 2 minutes old :) Luckily we bought a new Graco Symbio where the car seat is ok till they are 11kgs but I already think he needs a biger one-plus there is no way I can carry that thing (car seat, not baby lol).. Another down side is my pelvis is screwed.. He was 56cms at birth.. And I was so huge when I was pregnant that the skin on my tummy actually tore at 41 weeks and bled! I am 5ft8 and hubby is 6ft2 but his dad and nephews etc are 6ft5 on average so I should have expected it really hee hee.. my 2 year old was 9lbs at birth (42 weeks) but he is quite small now comapred to other children his age)

My tummy also split and was bleeding - ridiculous eh?? 6'2 hubby? hmmm I would blame him! LOL!
