Birthdays right near Christmas

don't have an LO, but my birthday is December 20. I have never felt slighted (everyone asks), but I definately get lots less on my birthday than Christmas. For my birthday, my family gets me about 1 gift each, including my mom (but hers is always a more expensive gift). When I was younger, she would tell me that part of my gift is being able to have a huge birthday party with all my friends and I am completely okay with this. :flower:

molly's birthday is 5th January. She will be getting one big present for bday, and loads at xmas. My bierthday is Jan 7th, and thats how it always worked in my family. we just dont make such a big thing of birthdays, so I guess its just what I'm used to.

my son is due to be born on Jan 4th via csection and my biggest fear is that he'll be born on Christmas as I have a history of having my kiddos early!!!

If his birthday happens to fall during Christmas week, we have decided that we're going to split presents between christmas and birthday, just do a cake and small get together...and then have a pool party for him every summer where he can invite his friends and barbeque and have a good time and really feel like it's HIS day

Em will have more on her birthday, as its her day IYKWIM plus a party (shes 2 on the 8th Dec) at xmas she'll be spoiled rotten again anyway. My parent are jointing her presents this year to buy her a toddler bed.
