When should I sign up for these? I am due in Oct. The birthing class meets one day a week for 5 weeks and the childcare class can be one day ALL day Saturday. Classes are open in August, I will be about 7 months by then, would that be good?

That's perfect! I'm starting mine tonight! :happydance:
Call them ASAP though, because the spots fill up quick. The only reason we got into this class is because the woman happened to know my age and squeezed me in because of that.

Yes, August sounds about right. I'm due June 3rd & I'm still going through the birthing class. They like it if you complete the class around 4 weeks before your due date! So that it's fresh enough in your mind for you to remember!

I've been looking into classes myself, but OH doesn't seem that excited about them.
And I asked my Mom if maybe she'd take them with me, and she's gonna be super busy with work...

i would like to go to these classes..
how do i go about it tho?sorry i have no idea x

Ask your midwife :) they always seem to have information aboout that kind of thing. I had to book wayyyyy in advance for classes, in fact, I was late booking, so I was 36 weeks pregnant (i think..) when I went to classes, and everyone else was about 30 weeks, and older mums obviously lol. That was strange, knowing that I would be the first to pop, unless someone was very early lol. Good luck with the classes :) they're good. Definately felt alot better for going to the classes.

Try looking on the internet or phoning your GP? I looked on the internet for classes, and finally phoned the midwife centre where I was planning to give birth and was having all my appointments, and they gave me some information about classes. Before I phoned them up, no one had bothered to give me any information. So it might be worth phoning the actual midwife centre/base and going straight to the heart of things and asking. if that makes sense.

And not a problem :)
