Bleeding after IUI today, is this normal? Help

Hi I just had my first iui and about an hour in a half later i went pee on when I wiped I had a good amount of blood, is this normal, the nurse just called me back and said it was but has anyone else ever had this happen? I'm scared the sperm is going to fall out but the nurse said that my husbands sperm was really fast and that they were already where they need to be, any opinions would be great, Thanks

And not to worry they put them so high up they can't fall out!

Hi, this happened to me after one of my IUIs as well. I remember the Dr saying it was completely normal. The cathader(sp) they use to inject the sperm can scratch your cervix. Don't worry, the sperm won't fall out! Wishing you lots of luck with your cycle!

I had bleeding/spotting after both my IUIs. The nurse said it was because the catheter can irritate the cervix. Don't worry, it won't affect the sperm cause they have been deposited deep inside!
