I am 10 weeks pregnant.

Today I went to the toilet and notice quite a bit of blood when wiping. I do not have any pain and I have not had any bleeding so far.

Is this OK? And normal?

I am sure you can understand I was very upset and scared, every thought was going through my head?

Any advice???

Hi,

I had some pale pink bleeding and brown spotting at exactly 10 weeks as well. I wouldn't exactly call it "normal" but I hear it is common. This being said, it can mean different things for every woman so I would go get it taken care of and looked at immediately just to make sure. I went to emergency clinic as soon as I saw it at 10 weeks and the doc ordered me an urgent scan the next day. Everything was fine, but it is always good to get it checked. Hope everything turns out great! Keep us updated. x

I had quite a lot of bleeding in my first trimester with my first child and kept having emergency scans but it was all ok. I hope it's the same for you. No pain is a good sign :) xx

Hey, I had a red bleed at 6 weeks and 11 weeks. It was scary as hell, I rang nhs direct who got out if hours gp to ring me. They panixed hell out of me, they sent me to a and e which was pointless as they just check your urine, but they did book a scan, where I saw bubs happy as Larry and no sign of where bleed is coming from and did reassure me. I would contact docs and see what they say hun x

I contacted the out of hours team and they have booked me in for a scan monday morning, and was told to rest but go straight in if it happens again and there is pain.

Try not to panic too much, but do go and get it checked out. I had a red bleed on Thursday at 10+6 and it scared the hell out of me! Went to A&E in an absolute mess, they did a urine test which was still a strong positive, and took temps, blood pressure etc. It stopped after around 45 mins, but I had a scan booked at the EPAU for the next day. Was so frightened that it was going to be bad news, we automatically presume the worst when we think of blood in pregnancy. Everything was fine though and bubs heart was beating strong and it was kicking it's little legs. They couldn't see anything which would've caused the bleed, and said that it can just happen for no apparant reason.

If you have no pain this will most likely be the case for you too, but please don't ignore it.

xx

Only just noticed you've booked in for a scan. Good luck with it, and I'm sure it will all be fine.

xx

I am 6 weeks pregnant and I am experiencing quite a lot of bleeding. I went to A&E and they took a urine sample and said I wasn't pregnant. I got home and took one and it showed I was. They said I was having a miscarriage but I think they are lying as they were really busy sorting out drunks who had been in fights or throwing up. I still keep getting positive tests and have symptoms. Midwife or the hospital doesn't seem to care to give me a scan. I am putting it down to decidual bleeding as I have no pain. I had a miscarriage in January and it doesn't feel like it.

Get in contact with the NHS or your midwife and demand a scan or a blood test. I hope everything is ok. I know it sounds hard to do but don't worry or panic. Makes it worse.

I just had some pink and brown spotting last night while wiping. Not as scary as "quite a lot." Was yours red? Bleeding is never a good sign, but it's not always a bad sign either. I've been doing quite a bit of reading about miscarriage lately, and although miscarriage is supposed to have symptoms like heavy bleeding and cramping and slight bleeding with no cramps is supposed to be "safe," that's not always the case. I've read plenty of stories about women who had heavy bleeding and a healthy baby. I've also read plenty of stories about women with slight bleeding, no cramps, and it ended in miscarriage.

I don't know how much blood you had or what color it was (I'm guessing red?), but call your doctor or midwife to see what he or she has to say. If you didn't have too much spotting and if it's gone now, I'm guessing you're not likely to miscarry, but it is scary. It's also good to consider the possibility because if it does come, you'll be more mentally prepared for it.
