Blood test results HELP PLEASE!

Hi girls,

After 11 months unsuccessfully TTC #1 my doctor took a 21-day blood test. I just called the surgery for my results and was told that no action is needed. A relief to say the least!

My progesterone result was 32
My thyroid was 1.9

Can anyone who has had this test shed any light on what these numbers mean?

I'm due to have my day-three blood test tomorrow, but AF hasn't shown her ugly face yet but still BFN.

My husband is booked in for his test in three weeks time. Hopefully everything is normal for him too and we're just being impatient.

a good result for progesterone is 35 so 32 is quite good, mine was 1.7 so not so good.

Thyroid I don't know about sorry

I ve got a copy of my results with reference ranges so here's what they say:

Day 21 progesterone >30nmol/L is considered proof of adequate ovulation.

Serum TSH normal is 0.35-5.0 mu/L (this is usually whats tested for thyroid)

So looks like your thyroid function is fine and that you ovulated

You can always ask for a copy of the blood tests (which can be a good idea if you need to see another doc at another time).

In the UK they like to see Day 21 progesterone over 30 to prove ovulation. Mine was 32 too and my FS was perfectly happy with that.

Don't know about thyroid but others have suggested that's good too
