blue dye tests???

I don't think it looks like an evap at all, but if you want peace of mind you can always get a FRER. I took one at 11DPO (3 days before AF was due), and it came up immediately and DARK. There was no having to second guess that puppy. Also, CB Digitals are awesome. I know they aren't supposed to be as sensitive as FRER, but I used one the same day as the FRER and it read pregnant. It's also really fun seeing the word "pregnant" appear. :D

Shop around and sometimes you can find a deal. We got a box of five at Wal-Mart for something like $12. (Not that you'd need five now, but you know what I'm saying.) Also, Eckards makes a knock-off digital that is supposed to work just as well.

But if you're strapped for cash, the FRER is definitely the way to go. They're still a little pricey, but cheaper than the digitals and really sensitive.

This is a due date calculate from thebump.com - it calculates it from the first day of your last AF. It's done like this generally because not everyone knows when they ovulated so doctors just calculate it from your LMP. This due date will change when you have scans as it becomes more accurate.

When calculating the weeks of pregnancy, we include those two weeks from the first day of the LMP to the approximate date of ovulation and conception. Because the first day of your LMP is the easiest part of the cycle to notice and record, that is where the beginning of the menstrual cycle and your pregnancy is measured from.

no need to worry there! So your little embryo may be only four weeks old, but you are six weeks pregnant. It sounds a little silly, but you aren’t really pregnant for about the first two weeks of your pregnancy. Finally, your estimated due date (EDC or EDD) is then calculated as 40 weeks from your LMP... And yes, this does mean that baby is actually only 38 weeks old when born.

Hope this helped! :)

how confusing!

I know - it's a bit silly but hey, it means you are further along!! :)

So yeah, if you do your ticker again at some stage - put the first day of your last period to get the right amount of weeks!

Congrats :D

Im sorry to be the one to worry you but I got a false BFP with this test before and was soooo mad when i found out it was false.
I really really hope and think your is positive though.
good luck hun and I hope to see you here very soon

I've had one like that too. I've had thin blue lines, and thick blotchy lines.. I would really retest with a pink dye hun :/ Don't you have more ICs? xx

If she knows when she ovulated it's much more accurate than going by LMP xx

Theirs is blue?.. I'm just trying to warn you hun.. Myself along with many other women have gotten evaps/false positives on blue dye tests, they are horrible. Blue dyes don't have the be grey, they are always blue.. I would def retest with a pink dye. Do you have any more ICs? xx

Yes I do have more of them

Keep testing with those. I really really do not want to see blue dyes hurt you, as they have hurt many women before (including myself). They really do need to take them off the market.. Honestly, yours really looks like an evap, as it is very blotchy.. It has to be thick and all one color for it be really be considered positive.. I hope you do get your bfp soon though. Just wanted to warn you hun :hugs: xx

My line is super thick, just faint, It's not a skinny line at all. and it's very blue.

this is for sure an evap cause it's so skinny https://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/res/img/user_files_hpt_gallery/resized/ctp-fantasia_painting-1315969493.jpg?s=medium
mine is super thick.

I know, but it's very blotchy... if it wasn't blotchy then it would probably be a bfp. The middle is almost see through.. Thin lines aren't the only evaps blue dye tests give. :/ They are HORRIBLE xx

here's another evap, mine dfoesnt look like this

I'm just saying, google blue dye evaps and you'll see there are tons.. they have to be thick and all one color to be considered positive, even then I'd still be weary. I wouldn't jump to conclusions until you confirm with a pink dye or a digi hun. Don't want to see you get hurt :flower: xx
