Hi, I'm looking for recipes I can make and store in the fridge to easily bring with us when we go out. I haven't been bringing food out because I figure I can just nurse her when she gets hungry, but lately I've been thinking it would be nice to hand her something when she gets fussy in the car or while we're out.

Are there any easy and nutritious granola bars, munchies, or bread recipes that that I could make in the oven or dehydrator and store in the fridge? What do you bring for your LOs when you go out?

Also, we're vegan, but I can easily mod non-vegan recipes so it's not a problem. :flower:

Now LO is a little older, we do a banana oatmeal cookie that we can bring when we go out. 1 banana mushed with half cup rolled oats baked at 350 for 7 min (I think I did more like 10 minutes and I squished them a little flatter before baking them). I once put pumpkin in them as well, and I intend on trying other fruits, too, to change it up.

I also found some freeze dried fruit that has no preservatives or added sugar, only one ingredient- the fruit. This particular "freeze" dried fruit seems to dissolve in your mouth, so it's not really crunchy (maybe once they can handle cheerios, they could handle this, maybe before?). I had to search through a lot of different kinds initially to find the ones that only have one ingredient.

I've often brought out some slices of fruit, cucumber slices, steamed veggies as well.

Also, I'd be careful of giving food to your little one food in the carseat since they're strapped in and laying back a little- not super safe since gravity works against them 'if' they get something too far back and want to spit out and they're strapped in so they can't move around to sit up.

I feel like as my son gets older, it's been getting easier to find things to bring out and about. Another thing I do is bring those pouches of baby food and order plain toast when we're out at restaurants, cut it into strips and smear a little baby food on the toast (it's basically the only way we use baby food- I also use any smearable food like avocado, sweet potato, butternut squash...which might sound weird but he loves it).
