BLW - what did your LO eat today?

I haven't posted in a few days as LO has been off most food and screams when I offer him anything other than breadsticks and water. He has upped his milk though so I'm not overly worried. Going to give it a few more days...

Just a question - where in the supermarket do you find humzingers?? I look everytime I go shopping and can never find them. And all the staff I asked looked at me blankly when I asked them where I would find them!

I find Humzingers with the kids' dried fruit lunchbox snacks, along with yogurt coated fruit flakes, that sort of thing. Not sure if they're available everywhere, I get them from Sainsbury's

I get my humzingers from Tesco, next to the boxes of raisins

B: Porridge with strawberries, no salt cinammon toast
L: Roast chicken, cabbage, green beans, carrots, mange tout and yoghurt
Sn: Rice cakes and mango
D: Avocado, broccoli and pasta salad - pear

btw-what are humzingers? I feel the need to buy them purely based on that name!

They are 100% fruit "sticks", but they are quite soft and easy to eat and not messy. Sophia loves them and they are very handy to take out and about as they are individually wrapped.

They're are very easy to eat... I have wondered more than once if I'll find a secret stash of half-eaten humzingers somewhere at home because I give one to Adam, turn around for 10 seconds and it's gone when I turn back.

Cheers ladies, I'll have another look next time I'm shopping. Fingers crossed I find them this time!

Ruby doesn't like humzingers. She once ate a cherry one but never again. I so wanted her to like them!

B - Shreddies and raisins
L - the crusts only of a slice of toast (weird!) and a smoothie
D - A huuuge portion of roast chicken, roast potatoes, stuffing and tenderstem broccolli followed by half a tin of mandarins and loads of raisins

Elliott loves them!!! All thanks to you for pointing them out to me (you are full of great ideas)!! I have found though that if I give him a whole want to eat himself he trys to eat it too fast and gets it stuck in the roof of his mouth. I have found that if I break a bit of at a time for him this doesn't happen. Little piggy lol :dohh:

Adam has had...

b: Shredded Wheat & milk, 3/4 of a banana, some red grapes, a couple of pieces of a clementine, 1/4 of a slice of bread with creme fraiche, a couple of spoons of natural yogurt
l: 3/4 of a wafer-thin chicken sandwich, the rest of the morning's clementine, more red grapes, 2 mini rice cakes
s: Organix biscuit
d: large slice of cheese & onion quiche, 1/2 a new potato, broccoli, green beans, couple of prunes, a little natural yogurt, a few green grapes

Today Bun had:

B: Oatmeal, apple butter, peach
S: Avocado on brown rice toast
D: Ziti with tomatoes, garlic and roquette, ginger cookie

We're a bit back on track so I can post again!

B: ready brek
L: Philly & jam sandwiches, cucumber & melon slices, yoghurt
D: dauphenoise potatoes, chicken, carrots & parsnips

S: humzinger (found them!), raisins, rice cake

i know how bad dauphenoise potatoes are for adults but are they bad for baby or is all that dairy good for him? I have leftovers for his lunch tomorrow but I'm slightly reluctant to offer it to him...

Adam had:

l: a chicken sandwich, a humzinger, a satsuma
d: grilled chicken, roast new potatoes, grilled courgette, cherry tomatoes, an apricot, a piece of cheddar cheese, an Organix biscuit

I had to google what dauphenoise potatoes were - they look like scalloped potatoes from the pic. Are they layers of sliced potato & onion in a creamy cheesy sauce? If so they are the same thing. I know you can make healthier versions of this dish, but I was also advised that babies and toddlers need whole milk and dairy products so I am betting that it is totally fine to serve LO in moderation :)

Also what is ready brek?

Jacob has had a much better couple of days, today he had,
B Shredded wheat, banana
S 4 mini apple rice cakes
L 3 slices crackerbread with hummous, half a humzinger (there were other things but they all got chucked on the floor)
D veg pasta in tomato and philli sauce, some grapes and blueberries - offered blackberries for the 3rd time but he wont even put them anywhere near his mouth, don't think he likes their texture as he just squashes them up and chucks them on the floor.

They are sliced potatoes baked in the oven with double cream, milk, garlic and cheese. Its a real heavy dish but my LO loved it! He ate mostly just this. Its just a little bit left over so maybe I'll just give it to him anyway - I wouldn't want it to go to waste...

Ready brek is like a fine porridge? Its really tasty and the only porridge-y mushy breakfast thing my LO will eat!! I ate it as a child too and I love it :)

I have only really started my little one today and at lunch time he tried for the first time ever:
Watermelon
apple
breadstick (gluten free)

He loved the watermelon and it was sooo nice watching him play and explore what he had. We had a slight issue with the plate as he wanted to play with that at first so I had to take it away and put on his bumbo tray to eat like that. Then just ended up sitting on my lap. But he did really well

jesse has had,

b - grated cheddar, apple sticks and watermelon slices,
s - organix animal biscuits
l - toast with cream cheese, carrot sticks, watermelon
s - fromage frais
d - 2 fish fingers, potato wedges (homemade), baked beans

he will have banana porridge before bed x

nice to see you in here Boothh!
