BLW - what did your LO eat today?

Yes. I had the milk on stand by but he didn't want it. I don't think he likes the squishy texture when I use milk!

b: blueberries, 1/2 a banana. rejected Fruit & Fibre & mini Weetabix
l: small piece of buttered baguette with Philadelphia, slice of cheddar cheese, 2 slices of wafer thin chicken, cucumber, 1/2 punnet raspberries
s: Humzinger, Plum spelt breadsick, 3 Milky Bar buttons (unsanctioned by me, this is OH's day in charge!)
d: 2 fish fingers, 1/2 a jacket potato :D, cucumber, 4 prunes, slice of tinned pinapple

Today, Lizzie had:

I must get LO marmite. I haven't had it in years but he might enjoy it... :)

Today was really good, although he didn't get his afternoon bottle because I forgot to bring it to my mums oops!

B: Cheerios and half a yoghurt
L: Home-made mince pie and mashed potato (hated the mash lol)
D: Roast dinner - leg of lamb, roasted potato & parsnip, bits of potato, carrot and cauliflower cheese (sucked the cheese, spat out the cauliflower lol!), little bit of banoffee (mostly just base).

He seemed to eat so much at dinner that I was worried about him eating too much. I think he easily would have eaten a bit more but I didn't offer anything further.

Lol jenny82 I am clearly tired coz I just had visiions of your LO tucking into a whole leg of lamb on the bone like a chicken leg!

Lizzie does the 'mmmm' thing, too - adorable!

Sun, I've changed the cottage pie recipe - it's a pretty standard version, but I add plenty of cinammon (she loves it) and top with sweet potato. I also add plenty of her favourite diced veggies, and grate some cheese on the sweet pot. Sounds very strange, but she loves it!

This is pretty much what I do.

This one doesn't have peas I don't think - Ruby will only eat peas if they're mixed up in something, she spits them out otherwise, odd child!

Yep, Lizzie is a bit confounded by peas. She likes them crushed with a bit of cream and pepper...and if they are not, gives me - and them - a quite 'meh' look!

Adam's only eaten peas mixed in with cottage pie, strangely enough (in those far-off halcyon days when mince-based dishes were very happily accepted from a pl spoon) but he will not eat them by themselves. I offered some just yesterday, rather fancied them myself, and thought he *might* want them, since they were not so dissimilar in size to the very tiny blueberries he was happily gobbling up... but oh no, his face screwed up in a look of disgust, he spat it out and swept the rest off the table. :(

Hello ladies can I join you?

I've been stalking this thread for quite some time and now I can finally post in it yay

Evie is 5 months old this week we have started to introduce solids so far she has had....

A stick of asparagus which she loved but I never knew asparagus could be so messy :haha:

A few handfuls of spinach

2 green beans

A bit of a rusk

She seems to love her food albeit a mouthful each day but I think it's a good start

I'm still BF and don't plan to drop any feeds any time soon

xx

Hi Miss_Bump !! Your LO sounds like she is doing very well!!

Yesterday Bun had:

B: oatmeal, dried plum, apple butter (again!! - he loves his oatmeal!!)
L: congee with chicken, ginger slices, green onion
D: cottage pie!!! (made with carrot, peas, and potato/cauliflower mash for the topping) He loved this except the peas - haha.

Bun has started getting both hands in his bowl and emptying it onto his tray before he starts eating. He just sits there scooping the food around for a while before he will start eating :dohh: Also he has suddenly gone off the pl spoon!!! When I hand it to him he just opens his mouth for me to feed him rather than taking the spoon  I fed him a few times this way in the last week when we were out and I couldn't let him get food all over everything - I guess he decided he liked it better - oops! xx
