Yesterday Adam had:

b: Weetabix & milk, a banana
l: big piece of buttered baguette, a Little Stars fromage frais (we were at OH's auntie's and she got them in and I didn't want to be rude and refuse even though they wouldn't be my choice), a mini sausage, 2 quite big pieces of cheese, cucumber and tomato, a very small piece of home-made pavlova (which he LOVED), several blackberries
s: 3 or 4 mini ricecakes, 2 Humzingers

D: lamb curry with tomatoes, spinach and pomegranate seeds (amaaaaazing!), rice and rest of the smoothie.

LO is getting sooo frustrated with PL spoons, but he hasn't yet figured out how to scoop with his hands. He really just wants to get on with it himself and the PL spoon is interfering with it! I was trying to show him how to scoop with his dinner but he just got angry with me :/ With the curry, he managed to eat the cooked tomatoes and wilted spinach, but the rice kept breaking apart when he touched it. I felt so bad :(

Have you tried 'sticking' the rice together? I've had to do that for Lizzie (who now is in a phase of picking it up, grain by grain) Use a bit of philly, thickened sauce, no salt tomato puree...really helps!

We had the diva 'if this rice won't cooperate, I'm flinging it', too! :D

Anyone else's LO not really into fruit??
I need to mush fruit into his oatmeal or he doesn't eat any at all. He does like apple butter (not actually butter - it's like a super concentrated applesauce) but that's about it. I'm thinking of buying fruits and just grating them into his oatmeal until he gets into the taste a bit more.

What are your LO's favourite fruits?? :)

Ronan loves fruit. He's big on strawberries and canteloupe, but he likes well ripened plums, nectarines and peaches, too. He's also fond of his bananas, and mango! He likes prunes too, thankfully! I'm hard pressed to think of a fruit he hasn't liked so far. He had some grapes today, too that he liked.

Anyway, I thought I might start posting in here too!
Yesterday:
B: About a 1/3-1/2 a piece of toast spread w/philly cheese & avocado, most of a slice of cantaloupe, and some greek yogurt mixed with prune puree.
L: Spinach pasta bake, sucked on a breadstick, quarter of a banana.
D: "Salad" A rolled up piece of thin sliced chicken spread with greek yogurt and grated cheese, a slice of cucumber, about 1/3 of a tomato, and some pita bread. Oh, and a prune (have to keep him regular )!

Today:
B: Rice cake spread with greek yogurt and mango puree, 2 wedges of nectarine & quarter of a banana.
S: A bit of cheesy bread of mummy's. We skipped lunch because he napped late and I had to go out to vote.
D: Vegetable soup with matzo crackers soaked into it, 1 1/2 prunes, a slice of cantaloupe and 2 heaped teaspoons of yogurt.

Hi hivechild :D

sun, Adam loves fruit - much more than veggies right now, though in the beginning he was great with veg. He has his favourites but nothing I can rely on because they can fall from grace for no apparent reason - so at different times he has loved: strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, banana, satsuma, mandarin, orange, plum, peach, nectarine, apricots, pear, pineapple, tomato, grapes, melon (honeydew and gala).

he also loves dried/semi-dried fruit - raisins, sultanas, dried cranberries and prunes.

the only fruit he has rejected out of hand was kiwi.

I've only offered apples a couple of times, very thin slices - am waiting for him to have more teeth!

sun, Ruby is very fussy about fruit. She will only eat the following:

Smoothies - any
Tinned pears in juice
Tinned mandarin segments in juice
Raisins
Papaya from a pot, in juice

She will not entertain fresh fruit. She just licks it then pulls a disgusted face. She absolutely HATES sour flavours so I guess that might be part of the reason.

My LO can be funny with fruit and if he likes something, you can pretty much guarantee the next day that he will hate it!

I likes smoothies, bananas, melon and blueberries. He puts grapes and strawberries in his mouth then spits them out, never swallows. He doesn't really like tinned fruit at all. I just have to keep trying different things and mixing it up!

Sun - I made your sweet potato pancakes! They were amazing! My OH was skeptical (sweet potato...in a pancake?!) but even he looooved them. LO loved them too and ate a whole one. Thank you for your recipe! Might make more next week :)

Yesterday was an awful day with food but LO is teething and his naps are up the left, then he was sick after his dinner. I'm going to write yestreday off completely and start again today.

So I'll do todays even though it hasn't ended yet:

B: Ready brek, grapes and half a sweet potato pancake
L: Tuscan bean soup, crusty bread
D: Moroccan-y chicken type stuff with carrot, sweet potato and cous cous.

Various yoghurts, fruit etc scattered throughout the day.

Bun is exactly the same! Only difference is he likes sour (loves pickles) but the sweet/sour combo he doesn't like. Maybe it's too acidic?? He has a similar disgusted face, holds his hand out and drops the fruit as far from himself as possible LOL... But he does like smoothies! I had totally forgotten about them - will get back to making them! Thanks! xx

Also I have figured out Buns favourite food (of the moment) is pasta sauce - I could probably put it on a shoe and he would eat it!! :haha:

b: 2-3 bite-size Weetabix, some Fruit & Fibre flakes, a few bits of puffed rice & milk, a banana - think he doesn't like the bite-size Weetabix
l: 3-4 pieces of penne with home-made tomato & spinach sauce (really not keen :(, why I am surprised?), a piece of mature cheddar, a rice cake with creme fraiche and Marmite, piece of buttered malt loaf, most of a Plum spelt breadstick, a Humzinger
d: a chipolata sausage, about 3/4 of a slice of eggy bread, a few plain butter beans, raisins, a Humzinger
s: more malt loaf, a plum, yogurt

Lizzie likes fruit - although, she goes through phases as to which she likes. She loved, loved mango for ages - now she's a bit 'blah' with it! Right after I bought loads :D

B: Eggy bread, shreddies
Sn: Rice cakes, baked plums
L: Salmon and courgette risotto, yoghurt, jelly, smoothie
Sn: Organix tomato slices
D: Quiche with roasted squash, sweet potato, courgette, trifle, pear and plum
