BLW - what did your LO eat today?

I'm new to BLW, and LO today has just had cheese on toast, Im not a breakfast person so usually just have a slice of toast, but can't give him a slice of toast every day, tis a bit boring! so need to get my brain racking of what else to offer him in the mornings!! He's had apples, melon, banana etc, so may make him some sort of fruity breakfast for tomorrow :)

I do offer Bun toast every day as he loves toast so so much. It was the first thing he ever really ate actually... Other good breakfast ideas are oatmeal or other type of porridge, weetabix or other low salt/sugar cereal, healthy pancakes (I would make pumpkin pancakes on the weekend and freeze them - these also make really good on the go snacks), scrambled egg, or some kind of healthy baked item like homemade scones, and ofcourse fruit.
I usually give my LO oatmeal or congee with toast - the same thing every day!! :haha: I figure it is the meal he likes best, is healthy, so why change ??

Thanks! I was thinking though with porridge or weetabix, what do you use for milk?

I used to use breast milk for cereal, but now I use coconut milk (LO can't eat dairy). I only use a wee bit for cereal - just enough to wet it. Some ladies on here would use either formula, bm, or a little full fat milk. I sometimes used water too. With porridge I don't put milk in it at all.

 You aren't the first one to do that! I was asked once what "Bun Cake" was.

so full fat milk i'm guessing would be ok as it would only be a very tiny amount? I hate expressing milk :dohh:

I also hate expressing - for me it is so much pain for so little reward LOL... I actually have been using coconut or rice milk since he started eating cereal at about 8 months. He was eating everything else we ate, so I figured it was fine. xxx

Well this mornig, LO didnt have breakfast, and he is now sitting in his high chair eating a crumpet, and oatcakes with garlic and herbs phylidelphia spread on them, and is loving it!

my Lo spoon fed himself oatmeal for breakfast, then he spoon fed the cat too :dohh:

We are only 2 weeks into BLW. Today she had

Breakfast - porridge
Lunch - 1 slice of toast cut into 3 strips, 2 with butter 1 with a tiny amount of peanut butter, apple, strawberry organic yoghurt
Dinner - I have pasta, broccoli and carrots cooking for dinner

I still don't think she's swallowing a lot of it, most of it ends up on the floor or on her face but her nappies are definitely more interesting lately. My DH nearly gagged when he opened her nappy yesterday and found a huge chunk of carrot.

B- Slice of tomato and half a banana
L- I went out for Vietnamese. He sucked on 2 cucumbers and a piece of pork (didn't eat the pork). Got a few stares.
D- Slice of my tenderloin steak and some mashed potato

Ruby ate rather a lot yesterday.

B - large bowl of rice krispies
L - 2 chunky breadsticks, 2 plum savoury bakes, little yeo yoghurt, 2 mini blueberry muffins
D - at my mums - Small piece of chicken, large portion of mash, brocolli, small slice of xmas cake, then 2 full slices of toast and jam?!!

Today has been

B- toast, raisins and banana
L- chicken and mushroom pasta with passata and herb sauce
Sn- couple of homemade crisps, grapes
D- chilli con carne and large pitta bread

B- Slice of tomato and half a banana
L- I went out for Vietnamese. He sucked on 2 cucumbers and a piece of pork (didn't eat the pork). Got a few stares.
D- Slice of my tenderloin steak and some mashed potato

Bun loves vietnamese!!! Also veg sushi

today:

B: Shreddies, fromage frais
L: a mini rosti with spinach and mozzarella, pineapple chunks, a fruit stick, piece of a pastry I was eating
Sn: Mozzarella stick
S: Homemade bolognese pizza, rice pudding

Claire - Ruby was hungry yesterday!! I am finding Bun has on and off days now - one day he'll barely pick, then the next he'll eat lots. Like yesterday he had 2 scrambled eggs and a piece of toast, but the day before he wouldn't touch eggs. I was looking back at what he was eating at 10 months and it was close to double what he eats now!!

xx

aliss - Gabriel loves pork (any meat really) It's impressive to watch him eat meat. No teeth, but he can gum everything just fine.
sun - Gabriel is a big sushi fan. Spicy tuna is a favorite for both of us.

Gabriel isn't interested in solids today. He keeps making the sign for milk and ignoring any solids I've offered, so we just give him the milk as requested.

Adam has had...

b: big bowl of mini shredded wheats with milk, raisins, a pear, a bit of plum
l: a cheese, cucumber & mayo sandwich, 7 prunes, a handful of dried cranberries
s: a large ricecake spread with unsalted butter and Marmite
d: breaded haddock, potato wedges, baked beans, green beans, cucumber slices, 3 prunes, more dried cranberries, a slice of buttered malt loaf

B: toast
L: chicken sandwich, cucumber, banana
T: pasta bolognese and yoghurt

S: Roast chicken, basmati rice with peas and green beans, mozzarella stick

Hi ladies I've been finding this thread invaluable since starting sadie on solids at 23 weeks after she kept stealing our food so now I'm feeling more confident about it I thought I:d start adding. Sadie is still on just brekkie and dinner but as of Monday she'll be having lunch too. She has excema (sp) on her arms and certain foods are a no no as the juice runs on her arms and sets them off so at the moment she has no oranges or tomatoes (including tomato based sauces) and she had a violent reaction to eggs so waiting on a paediatric appointment. She is also formula fed, has been since 4 days old and has 4 bottles a day.
goodness that was long! Lol!
Today sadie has had:
B porridge mixed with mashed banana (mashed banana is a fav at breakfast ), a plum and a small bit of my pear.
D baby corn, green beans, asparagus (new), spaghetti (ignored), meatballs (new) and a little stars yoghurt on a pre loaded spoon.

I started weaning Daniel at christmas (but then had to stop as he got that horrible viral infection going round and it was a struggle just to get milk in him).
Well, we restarted the weaning a few days ago. We are only doing lunch for a week or 2 at first, then I shall introduce breakfast then dinner.
Today he had 2 toast fingers. 1 spread with mashed avacodo and 1 spread with houmous.
He followed this with a pear and apple fromage frais (I load the spoon and he takes it and shovels it in!!)
