BLW - what did your LO eat today?

I started weaning Daniel at christmas (but then had to stop as he got that horrible viral infection going round and it was a struggle just to get milk in him).
Well, we restarted the weaning a few days ago. We are only doing lunch for a week or 2 at first, then I shall introduce breakfast then dinner.
Today he had 2 toast fingers. 1 spread with mashed avacodo and 1 spread with houmous.
He followed this with a pear and apple fromage frais (I load the spoon and he takes it and shovels it in!!)

Houmous is 1 of my fav foods but haven't given it to sadie as don't fancy making it and not sure if I should give a shop bought 1- what did you use? ?

We're also big hummus fans. Sometimes instead of hummus though, I make something similar using butter beans. LO loves it. It's very easy, just tin of butter beans, good amount of olive oil, clove of garlic, squirt of lemon juice and blend the whole lot. Sometimes I chuck in a handful of rocket leaves too.

Naughty naughty lol! Might try her with some shop bought and if she doesn't like it then I haven't wasted time making it...although mummy would eat it!

That was my thinking too. A small tub of shop bought wouldn't be too wasted if he hated it. He doesn't so I shall make some.

Well, no surprise that LO loved his pizza last night!!!

D- have not cooked this yet but I think I may be making extra lean ground beef meatballs with a ratatouille

Today Bun had:

B: oatmeal, chunk of banana, 1/2 rice cake with almond butter, an entire pear!
S: handful dry cheerios, couple raisins
L: scrambled eggs with green onion, pepper, and a bit of sardine, 1/2 banana, rice cake with almond butter and banana, bit of carrot smoothie

Question: Does anyone feed their LO sardines??? I posted this in the other BLW thread, but I thought I would see here as well. Our LO can't eat dairy, and in addition to being so so healthy, sardines are high in calcium and don't have the mercury issues that other fish have. So I really want to add them to his (our) diet but have no idea what to do with them to make them taste good. Any ideas?? xxx

I haven't tried sardines, but I have some mackerel here that I've been meaning to use. My aunt loves mackerel on toast so I was going to try that during this week. Think you just smoosh the mackerel up with a fork on a piece of toast - not sure whether you can do that with sardines though :)
